Here is a strange one!

I was looking for Gail Cooper, the woman who described the "creepy man" that is again being linked to Raymond Hewlett.

I found this
A look at the 'creepy man' reportedly seen by Paul Gordon and Gail Cooper, a week before the McCanns arrived, which resulted in the infamous 'George Harrison' sketch and the 'police-style' press conference in London.
taken from here
http://www.mccannfiles.com/id67.html

Then I read a little about Paul Gordon and it turns out apart from seeing a "creepy man" that in all fairness according to his photofit picture looked absolutely nothing like the person on the front of the NOTW, which was attributed to him,
Mr Gordon was also the person who allegedly bled all over the place for 45 minutes in apartment 5A

Quote Brit1981
The tennant who bled said
"there was one occasion when I cut myself shaving in the bathroom of the apartment. I would say that the cut bled for about 45 minutes and that it took some time until the cut stopped bleeding, during which period I walked around the apartment with paper tissues trying to stop the blood." http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/PAUL_GORDON.htm

and on top of that he was the person who stated that the door didnt lock properly to the apartment
The front door had a double lock that was difficult to lock, but we managed to do it.

And then finally Mr Gordon states
I want to add that since January this year I have received numerous phone calls, messages and visits from the press regarding the collector of donations, which in turn put me in contact with other people such as Brian Kennedy, Kate and Gerry McCann. I feel that this is a constraint that makes it difficult to take the more correct decision.

The statement was made at his April 2008 rogatory interview

Mr Gordon certainly has some issues arising from his april 2007 PdL holiday

From fabgod's first link:
Paul said the man did not look British and was outside the apartment long enough to work out its layout.

Would someone describe Hewlett as "did not look British"?
Not that all the British people look alike but I don't see anything in his appearance that would make me make such a statement.

Raymond Hewlett criminal history

http://raymondhewlett.blogspot.co.uk/p/raymond-hewlett-timeline.html

Posting only because of a request for his past history, there is no doubt he was a convicted paedophile and also very much suspected of more attacks than he faced justice for.
The disgusting thing is, how little time he spent in prison for the crimes he was found guilty of.
If RH was in fact the "abductor" in the Madeleine case, it would not tally with the Dog alerts, which to my mind cast a massive shadow over the whole abductor theory.
As has been pointed out on other posts, it also seems a stretch to make a near 60 year old fit to a description of a 35-40 year old man with very thick dark hair imo.

I don't understand how he managed to spend so little time in jail and why a child rapist was allowed to travel with all those children.

I think it is extremely safe to say tanners man inhis 30s about 5 8- 5 10 with swarthy skin and with a head of very thick black glossy hair was not the at least 62 yr old RH at the time who was 6 3 with balding thin straggly grey hair

hey clutch-- got some questions for you over in the lisa irwin forum... your poll thread... guess you missed seeing them? thanks!

Hey redhead i decided to leave the irwin case for a while as i didnt really follow it closely but had a few initial thoughts and questions, but will go have a look

Donjeta, fabgod and anyone interested i think its fairly safe to say both hewlett and gail coopers creepy man are both items for room 101
ie there is nothing remotely substantial to link either of them to madeleines disappearance
LET ALONE to jane tanners man

but clarence mitchell will link anyone and everyone to it,how many suspects are there now?

Conspiracy theories aside there is some circumstantial evidence that alot of witness tampering and or fabrications going on inthis case

if anyone reads up on all the stories by gail cooper you will soon see how they dont add up

Go to mccannfiles.co.uk and do a search within the site for cooper and also hewlett

Apparently the guys that found bin laden and shopped hewlett said they were on holiday in portugal indec 2006 and hewlett talked to them about madeleinemccann, gosh he must have been PSYCHIC knowing she would be abducted in five months time, oh well, yawn

He looks British to me.

He certainly is dentally challenged enough to fit the stereotype.

clutch-- thanks for the reply here and over there... i see now that you didn't read that case in its entirety so you most likely wouldn't have known grime was one of the dog handlers utilized at the irwin home. i'm sorry for assuming you knew that and for my "interrogation" of your opinion :D ... i believe 100% in these (grime/FBI) dogs... so imo, it doesn't bode well -your words- for either the mccanns or lisa's parents :(

so lets look at this :

we have Another seperate witness Gail Cooper who gives a decription that fits Howlett

Tanner whilst not giving an accurate facial description - gives something a description that could fit Howlett - the hair the build etc

Howlett was a known offender with a dreadfull record of child abuse dating back years - I wont post any details of his crimes as some are just awful

He was in the vicinty at the time

Now all this does not make a guilty verdict by a long shot - and evidence would be needed - and as the guy is dead he might have taken it to his grave but surely to goodness this is a trail that any cold case investigation must follow - who did this guy know as offenders like him do tend to asocciate with other offenders - who were his known associates - were they interviewed ?- you go through every inch of statements and look again

you dont just dismiss it - it might be a confusing scenarion - but it need looked at by fresh pair of eyes - maybe that is what the review team have done . ??

it may be subjective but neither tanner nor coopers descriptions fit Hewlett IMO

hi redheadgirl, no problem at all

50% of the population fits one of her earliest non-formal description.

Let's look at what Team McCann did with RH while he was alive -

Madeleine Investigation Turns To Farce, 26 May 2009
Sky News
BREAKING NEWS 12:57pm UK, Tuesday May 26, 2009
Martin Brunt, crime correspondent
Efforts by private investigators to quiz a new suspect in the Madeleine McCann case turned to farce today.
Raymond Hewlett, 64, this morning agreed to meet the detectives - but they were already waiting to board a flight back to the UK.
They then refused to return to the hospital in Germany where he is being treated for cancer. Yesterday, the McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell gave Hewlett an ultimatum to meet the investigators by this morning to "help clear his name".
Hewlett, a convicted paedophile, wheeled himself into the car park of the hospital in Aachen and told waiting reporters he would speak to the detectives.
"I have nothing to hide. I am willing to talk with them," he said, denying any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance from a holiday apartment in Portugal two years ago.
But it was too late.
Mr Mitchell told Sky News: "He should have indicated yesterday that he was happy to talk to us. "We welcome his indication that he will speak to us, but it will have to be rearranged. "That meeting will take place in the near future, but we won't reveal where and when."..."It's a matter of urgency because of his medical condition."

Ok so they couldn't (didn't) turn around and go back. Ever again. Even though it was a matter of urgency due to his health.

i remember her being quoted as saying a man possibly carrying a child, then we had feet as the only thing she saw, then it was the pyjamas, right up to describing every individual hair on his head, if his trousers had creases on them or not and that his heels were two inches high, sharp vision there for someone who only glimpsed him for a few seconds in the dark

I believe Tanner did see someone but its a long stretch to claim it was Definitely madeleine mccann as CLAIMED in the c4 documentary made by the mccanns

She saw something alright.

She saw what the Smiths saw.

The Smiths positively identified Gerry.

So much for all the huff and puff about him not cooperating, so, they had a plane to catch so didnt go interview him, but said they would rearrange what priorities hey??

:waitasec:

Good find, I was looking for that the other day, unbelievable

Yes.

And they said it was urgent.

So why didn't they go back?

I like the huffing and puffing Clarence does, as though Hewlett dissed an audience with the Queen or something.
