On the other hand, I am concerned about the judge. I feel like since he disallowed the witnesses he's been way to lenient with what he lets the defense enter in to evidence. Once again the Moorers aren't held accountable for their actions and learn that they aren't held to the same standards of fairness. I have no idea how the judge could believe TM isn't going to talk about the trial all weekend.

I do hope the prosecution is able to come back Monday and just hammer each lie into the jury's heads. I feel like NL just wanted to show TM's anger on Friday to let the jury smolder with it all weekend.

I'm confused. So there really is a diary and TM has a copy of it in a folder?

I agree. I was wondering if the State had done anything to irritate the judge. It does seem like he's been more lenient with the defense ever since he suppressed their witnesses.

Can someone point me to SM & TM's phone pings after 3:40am on the night HE was kidnapped?

Try thread #2, around post 16. That's where this comes from: "
Expert’s, friend’s testimony continues in kidnapping trial for Tammy Moorer

“On Wednesday, cell phone tracking expert, Michael Melson also testified. He said data showed almost daily communication between Sidney Moorer and Heather Elvis from July to November 2013.

Around the same time, communication between Tammy and Sidney Moorer ceased, Melson said. Tammy Moorer’s phone contacted Heather’s phone twice in that early November timeframe, he said.

“Pretty much communication between all three phones stopped,” Melson said.

In early December, both Tammy and Sidney’s phones were tracked on towers near the Titled Kilt, where Elvis worked, Melson said.

The night Elvis went missing, Sidney’s Moorer was mostly near his home, but was later picked up in locations on the north side of Myrtle Beach. Tammy’s phone records matched Sidney’s to indicate the phones were together, he added.

The phones were tracked near a Kangaroo Express around 1:00 a.m. the morning Elvis went missing, Melson said. There was no other phone activity until about 3 a.m. when the phones were tracked near the Moorer’s homes.

Melson said Elvis received a phone call from a payphone in the same area where the Moorers’ phones were tracked early Dec. 18. At 2:30 a.m., Elvis tried to call that payphone back. Around 3:15 a.m., Elvis’ phone was tracked near her home and Elvis called Sidney Moorer’s phone and that conversation lasted several minutes.

At 3:40 a.m., Elvis’ phone was tracked at a tower that serves Peachtree Landing where she made four phone calls to Sidney Moorer’s number.

There were no more phone calls by Elvis after that time, Melson said.”
"

I don't know how to bring a post over from another thread. Hope this helps

ETA: Seems like I missed something, though. Didn't we find out more phone record detail later?

I know that some people worry that TM is getting to NL sometimes but there is a part of me that disagrees. With both TM and her sister, NL was able to draw out the anger and let the jury see it. We can't forget AC's response when NL questioned her about the fight with her past friend regarding keys and a drug house etc. NL was able to make AC come out swinging. If I were on the jury, these times when NL can pull the witness out of character would weigh very heavily for me. JMO

BBM. I think you mean "into character." ;) As in, into their TRUE character!

I didn't understand it either. Maybe it has no meaning and was just drunken nonsense.

I thought they were just being mean and saying that HE looks more like a man, but nothing could be further from the truth so I don't know.

Oh I think she's familiar. She's just asking the "expert" for her help, if you know what I mean.
Yes, an attorney can't give testimony so whatever info you want to impart to the jury has to be done through a witness. Maybe they'll have a FB expert as a rebuttal witness to explain that image dates can easily be changed.

The testimony on Day 2, phone calls/locations, really convince me that both SM and TM were responsible for Heather's disappearance. For close to 45 minutes, no data was found for SM or TM's phones (around the time of Longbeards and the payphone call)

Unless the defense can put on witnesses to raise some doubt as to phone records/locations, I have no doubts.

I realize this wasn't the most exciting testimony, but since there has been other testimony that really back up this testimony, I believe it completely.

OK. Tammy Moorer is clearly lying about significant points – even if we disregard all the little details & discrepancies. We need to remember to look at the big picture: Heather is missing. All of those little details will just cause confusion.
She claims she was with Sydney all night. She admits they went to Walmart and bought a pregnancy test but she denies that he made that telephone call to Heather from the telephone booth which we have all seen on video. He admits it.
She claims he never left her side except when he went to feed the dogs and bumped into her father outside of their house.
Tammy Moorer cannot be believed. If she would lie about the big things she’s also lying about the little things. They were together all night, remember?
Heather’s whereabouts come from three different sources and all point directly to he Moorers & Peachtree landing & the last person she had contact with.
Those significant lies & the fact that google was deleted for both accounts, the memory card was taken out of the truck, the DVR system is missing from the house, Tammy‘s computer is missing from the house. all point to guilt. GUILTY!

The judge has been quite cranky since

1. The trial has dragged on longer than expected.
2. He had to deal with the defense witnesses who violated sequestration orders and bar them from testilying (which will likely become an issue on appeal if there's a conviction, which he noted.)
3. He's an older dude who doesn't understand the techie stuff and that only makes them crankier.

As a result of #2, he has become much more lenient with the defense on allowing them to put in evidence exhibits despite the state's objections.

Yeah, those phones didn't drive themselves around. Or did they? Are they going to try to sell that next week?

ETA: Honestly, this dang website...

I'm still dying to know what question Tammy wanted to ask Ms. Livesay at the beginning of cross-examination. Was it a personal question about Ms. Livesay's love life? Or was it more trial-based, such as something about Heather's "diaries?"

I think it more likely had to do with what she was trying to ask the judge when he was explaining her rights to testify or not. Something about the prosecution withholding evidence (but that's as far as she got before the judge put a halt to it). TM thought she could put NL on the defensive right off and it didn't quite work out that way.

just going t hru all that was opened back up on the TM and SM fb pages.. <modsnipped sleuthing non approved social media>hey sure like to keep multiple pages out there, don't they?and funny enough that the photos aren't in ''order' of date either. Makes you think someone goes in and changes dates on them to suit a storyline IMO

<mod- against TOS to sleuth family's social media>

It's something that I'll be listening for next week. There is a lot that we don't know about what exactly happened to Heather, but when all that we do know is added up, it does paint a picture of who was involved.

I think that several here mostly figured all of this out before this trial ever began. I'm just now "getting it" from piecing together what I've learned in this trial.

I think if I can do it from this trial, then this jury can also.
