I say England is home to alot of pop music teenybopper garbage but yet I was a huge Bros nd Take That fan and was really into the British pop music scene in the 80's and 90's.

I have to admit, Matt and Luke Goss are still hot.

"Me thinks you all protest too much"- as shakespeare would say... truly- who the heck cares what one person says- actress especially-wow- I am truly amazed at the feedback and people who are offended- why the uproar?!

In the long run, is it that important?

Honestly, if we Canadian's got upset with every little comment- not to mention ignorance- that was quoted- we would all be suicidal- seriously- put things into perspective guys- family matters, friends matter, kind heartedness, good nature and unselfish gestures matter....way more than anything someone says or thinks of you...be proud, but not defensive- it counteracts it...truly!

JMHO of course

G.P. blew it in my book. She just lowered herself to the very "class" she snubs. I love the Brits, but sorry.........the Royal Family is an embarrassment to all mankind (although I LOVE Di's boys). The whole world got to listen to their future MARRIED King telling his lover he wishes he was her tampon. :silenced:

You go Gwennie!

Oh God-narlacat-you don't even know how many American's really resent GW-trust me-you are not alone.

ITA with you about the US space program. While I think space exploration is a worthy pursuit I think it should come second to making sure every child in this country has access to a good education, every senior can pay their heating bills, and every family can afford to put food on the table.

I love the US and I think this country has done some great things (although singlehandly winning WWII was not one of them) but I think our country needs to own up to our mistakes and learn from them too-and there are certainly many of them. I also think our country needs to take a more inclusive position in world politics-we may be a "superpower" but that doesn't give us the right to disregard the input of everyother country.

Lol-Narlacat I'd offer you a place to stay in the US if you ever came to visit but we live in Iowa and no one ever wants to visit us. Too bad-we're not nearly as obsessed with corn or the bible as people would have you believe. :D

Well, that's just being greedy :p but hey let's not worry about that-or the worlds resources!
Well, credit where credit is due, pity they did it the wrong way around, they should have banished themselves here lol, it doesn't get much better than this

Aussies have always been there with us, even when they had little to gain; so with the Brits. When I visited the World War II Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial near Omaha Beach, some of the sacrifices we have made for each other come into perspective. Brothers shouldn't put much energy into small differences and are glad we can all be here for each other. In any one of the three countries: Imagine the other two weren't there with you on the world stage, then look at The Australian War Memorial. The Aussies were a damned long way from home in a lot of the conflicts catalogued there and didn't have to be there, but they were, like the US guys at Normandy, trying to help their allies. In WWII Australia, on a population-weighted basis, paid as steep a price as the US.

Straight lines of crosses and stars let us see Paltrow and her claptrap for what it is: quite pathetic.

No way you go first. My son said the other day to my DH that he was NEVER getting on a big boat or a plane because Mom says they are scary  and he does not want to crash. I could not believe him. My DH was so mad. He told me we will never do anything because I am too chicken. I do seriously need to get over that, I am thinking that a valium or 3 would help.
