We didn't. LE wouldn't comment on anything other than that they were aware of the message and investigating it.
Billie said it pinged on a CCity tower?

Where did we learn about the text message pinging in C City?
Billie said it pinged on a CCity tower?
Now, where was SA during this.
The timeline was analysed in this thread (post #14). That covers the trip from work back to the mothers house and pretty much agrees with his version of events. There is not much time for anything other than what he said he did.
Note, apparently he arrived there before his mother left for work, so she can probably corroborate that. Also, SA has a teenaged brother who lives there, and he very likely would have been there much of the day. So, there are probably at least two people who can corroborate that he was there.
Again, from the above link, read posts 17 and 18 regarding pings. The affidavit has SA making 11 phone calls while at the mothers house. These exactly co-incide with LE's ping intervals for Big Spring, so it is highly likely that when they talk about pings, they actually mean call routing information (which is stored for a long time by the phone company).
This means that SA's day can pretty much be accounted for from ~6 AM until 2.40 PM. Assuming it takes 45 minutes to get back to CC, he would have arrived home again ~ 3.25 PM. HD left shortly after that, then appromately 30 minutes later DD arrives back home.
The text message was sent at 2.16/2.18 PM, so, if the phone was at BD's house it would have not been possible for SA to have sent it, since he was in Big Sping 20 minutes later.
If SA did not send it then someone else must have, and it couldn't have been BD since she was at work. This is important because some have speculated that HD was allready dead when SA left for work. If that was so, then who was the texter, and why?
Law enforcement have now confirmed, via spokesperson, Pete Kampfer, that a text message was sent, from Hailey's cell phone, to a friend at 2:00p.m. on the date of her disappearance. The text message simply stated WYD, (What are you doing?). Kampfer stated that no information concerning the text would be released, rather would be held close to the investigation.
Haileys mother, Billie Dunn, mentioned the text message on CNNs Nancy Grace, January 18, 2011. Billie Dunn said, prior to the investigators taking the cell phone, she had seen the message; however, there was no response to the text, by the friend.
Law enforcement have cell phone records from this Verizon account, via Search Warrant for the cell phone records of Billie Dunn. Investigators are not releasing information concerning the cell towers location of the ping for this text.
The why is simple. They had made up a story and the text message was part of the plan. As for who that will be part of the investigation.
Except neither of them could have done it.
There is no evidence that HD was anything other than alive at that point, so it is entirely possible for it to have been her.
Then there is the dogs tracking to the hotel story here.

Only LE knows this information, on who can substantiate SA's alibi.

This must also be the time that SA informed his Mother around noon that Hailey was missing, although, NO ONE else knew that Hailey was missing yet.

SA arrived back in CCity with BD's phone and DD arrived at the house.

Unless it was in SA's possession at the time.

there is no telling the actual age of scent any dogs tracked, where ever they went or were taken
ya know, there is an app that can be put on a phone that you can set a time for a text to be sent..then you could remove the app
no one knows if BD's phone was at Chestnut on Monday, much less where it may have pinged
just because a phone pings a certain tower, that doesn't necessarily mean the phone or owner is at a specific address associated with that tower
the Chestnut house was normally unlocked thereby allowing anyone that needed/wanted to come in, to do so
a teen girl at home with a phone, when school is out, supposedly makes one text all day long, and it's not even to one of her best friends, no other texts, or calls, incoming or outgoing...???
why is that?
BBM- Takes me back to the interview with LE, in which Shawn deleted something from his phone before he handed it back to the detective.
Billie says Hailey is playing the Xbox in David's room @ 9:00pm
http://www.sweetwaterreporter.com/sites/default/files/Billie Dunn timeline.PDF
DD told investigator's Hailey was playing the Xbox in the living room @ 9PM.

Small detail I guess, but ... If David had the new Xbox (Christmas gift) in his room, and the old Xbox was in the living room, hmmn. Didn't Shawn say he didn't really play video games? Hailey got a new TV for her bedroom, wouldn't she have wanted to put the old Xbox in room?
Red By ME.
SA sent the text message to infer that an alive Hailey sent the message thus throwing the timeline of her missing off and enabling SA and BD to "go to work" to establish alibis. JMO.
Firstly Clint was shown a lot of video. Hailey was not there. Secondly you would expect Haileys scent to be at the motel if she hung around there like as been stated.
