Burke asking what they found doesn't exonerate him from anything aside from not knowing what was staged, whether or not his sister was dead, missing & not knowing about the ransom note - all of which, even if he did kill Jonbenet or otherwise be involved, I don't believe he'd know about anyway.
I assume he overheard Patsy on the phone saying they've 'found' a ransom note - I'm not surprised that he wouldn't know what they were talking about - but, he WAS there & he was asking....
Arrggghhhh.... this site keeps logging me out every once in a while & I keep losing my replies.
Thanks, Jane... you took the words right out of my mouth. My original post:
IF the enhanced 911 tapes are accurate & true....
" 'Please, what do I do?' Burke said.
This sounds like a child that doesn't run & hide under the bed during a crisis.... he wants to HELP.
So why would the parents be reluctant to wake him & upset him? They'd rather let him sleep than find out immediately if he heard anything strange the night before???
And then, more clearly, Burke said, 'What did you find?' "
IF Burke was awake the night before, it's reasonable to think his mother &/or father would have told him to get upstairs & NOT come back down until they came up to get him.
He would have NO idea that Patsy "found" a ransom note..... he wasn't part of the staging.
Honestly.... we know for a FACT that Burke WAS awake when his father checked his room that morning... he said so.
What kind of child stays in bed awake when there is (Patsy) screaming & a house filling up with vistitors at that hour?
He supposedly did NOT come downstairs until after Fleet goes upstairs to get him & tell him to get ready to leave an hour after the police arrive? How would he have known NOT to come downstairs that morning if he had no idea something was seriously wrong?
