Has Any Ramsey Defender Ever Given an Explanation for the Pineapple?

Burke asking what they found doesn't exonerate him from anything aside from not knowing what was staged, whether or not his sister was dead, missing & not knowing about the ransom note - all of which, even if he did kill Jonbenet or otherwise be involved, I don't believe he'd know about anyway.

I assume he overheard Patsy on the phone saying they've 'found' a ransom note - I'm not surprised that he wouldn't know what they were talking about - but, he WAS there & he was asking....

Not with their eyes open.... but would it be easier to imagine IF you believed they closed their eyes?

I suppose so, though I can see how people can't come to grips with the idea that a parent could do that to their own child, to violate them in SO many ways.

But, to me it fits with her drama queen over the top personna, thought I don't think JR had anything to do with the staging and I don't think Burke was involved in her death though he may have been up and awake and have seen something. I imagine being Burke Ramsey was something like being mummified while still alive, having to grow up in that house of lies.

Arrggghhhh.... this site keeps logging me out every once in a while & I keep losing my replies.

Thanks, Jane... you took the words right out of my mouth. My original post:

IF the enhanced 911 tapes are accurate & true....

" 'Please, what do I do?' Burke said.

This sounds like a child that doesn't run & hide under the bed during a crisis.... he wants to HELP.

So why would the parents be reluctant to wake him & upset him? They'd rather let him sleep than find out immediately if he heard anything strange the night before???

And then, more clearly, Burke said, 'What did you find?' "

IF Burke was awake the night before, it's reasonable to think his mother &/or father would have told him to get upstairs & NOT come back down until they came up to get him.

He would have NO idea that Patsy "found" a ransom note..... he wasn't part of the staging.

Honestly.... we know for a FACT that Burke WAS awake when his father checked his room that morning... he said so.

What kind of child stays in bed awake when there is (Patsy) screaming & a house filling up with vistitors at that hour?

He supposedly did NOT come downstairs until after Fleet goes upstairs to get him & tell him to get ready to leave an hour after the police arrive? How would he have known NOT to come downstairs that morning if he had no idea something was seriously wrong?

Was the teabag or glass even wet from having liquid added? I wish I had followed this case online back in the late 90's.

It was speculated that Patsy used the tea bags on her eyelids to keep them from getting puffy. I've heard of this being done before.

Yes, it's SO hard to imagine parents harming children & from outward appearances the Ramseys looked so picture perfect. It's when you start to look deeper that you see flaws that make it easier to believe it's not impossible.

I think that's why so many people stop short of saying they are CONVINCED the Ramseys are guilty. It's SUCH an awful crime.

I always laughed when some IDI people claimed people were jealous of the Ramseys. Ewwwwwwww. Not in THIS lifetime. lol

You contradicted yourself :waitasec:

I am sorry that was not my intention.

What I am saying is I live in a home of one level and when I am back in the other end of the home I cannot hear noises that may be coming from the other end. Not even if someone drives up. I have a little Malti-Poo that alerts me if someone is at one of the doors.

I certainly couldn't hear what was going on in the front area of my home and my home is only 3000 square feet and smaller than the Ramseys' home which is stacked with many different rooms and levels.

In fact we had a burglar come in with a credit card, which they used to open the back door, shortly after we built our home.

He told police he came in around 2am and he had taken items from the living room/office, dining room and den then called his girlfriend to come get him. She did not come and he fell asleep on our sofa waiting. No one knew he was in our home and if it hadn't been for my brother living with us at the time and getting up for work at 5am and running into the stretch phone cord he had used the burglar would have been left in here with just me and my son in the home. My hubby was out of town on business.

None of us heard a thing. We couldn't believe our eyes. It creeped us for a long time but one thing about it we made our doors like fortresses after then.

How scary, oceanblueeyes.

I never had a problem believing that someone could enter a house & sleeping people might not hear.

The problem for me comes with the lack of evidence that shows an intruder was inside for THAT many hours coupled with the Ramseys own behavior.

Yeah, I'm not "convinced" that Patsy Ramsey is guilty...there is enough unexplained evidence that could point to an intruder and this is one of the FEW cases where the police really did damage the crime scene beyond repair. I am much surer that say, Joran van der Sloot, is responsible for Natalee Holloway's disappearance....

But, there is assuredly a lot more evidence that supports Patsy Ramsey as the guilty party than there is of a mystery intruder who defies every probability for how a kidnapper/home invader/sex criminal behaves.

You're a fence sitter like I am..... leaning towards the Ramseys guilt in some small or big way.

Sad for JB & sad for the people who worked hard to solve the case despite the mistakes from the first moments the police arrived.

don't know if this has been mention ...

ok couldn't she have just eaten it as a midnight snack? my little sister was quite mischievous and was lurking around the kitchen looking for late night snacks at the age of 2 or 3. all by herself. makes sense a 6 year old could then?

and in that case -- could the intruder have found her when she was in the kitchen getting her snack? or right after she ate?

i don't know the facts about this case too well ... so tell me if this is impossible !!!!

Someone has beaten me to it!

I get the succinct feeling Wudge likes to see murderers walk.

Uh, LinasK? You wanna take THAT one, or should I? (Whistles "Don't Worry, Be Happy.")

More importantly, I'm not concerned about the case. I'm not concerned about John Ramsey. LE did not have him targeted. I'm not concerned about Burke Ramsey. LE did not have him targeted. I'm not concerned about Patsy Ramsey. She has passed on. I'm not concerned about the Ramsey family. They have been exonerated.

Wudge, you had me in your corner RIGHT up to the end, brother.

Rather, as a decent human being, I'm bothered because the McCarthy style attacks on the family continue despite overwhelming evidence that supports their proper exoneration. Yet people just toss aside clear and convincing evidence that supports reasonable doubt and latch onto a miniscule mouse fart or two so they can continue to villify one or more of the Ramseys online.

Oh, please! Don't even WASTE my time with that bulls**t!

None of us heard a thing. We couldn't believe our eyes. It creeped us for a long time but one thing about it we made our doors like fortresses after then.

EXACTLY, Blueeyes! But the Ramseys didn't! I'm sure you're familiar with the 2000 break-in? 'Cause if you're not, I'm more than happy to narrate it for you!

I think they also found fibers in her BED.... so we have to consider that this attack started in her bedroom... she's tied up & THEN brought downstairs.

If she was killed upstairs, I'd think THIS is when an intruder might start to think 'Gee, this kidnapping ain't going so well.'

If she was still alive upstairs, why does he SUDDENLY abandon his stated plans to TAKE HER out of the house for his payday.... $118,000?

Instead he says, 'So far, so good.... I think I'll spend an extra 2 or 3 hours in the house since they won't be waking up until 5:30 am.... plenty of time left to rape her & play dress up.'

lol

I wonder if they started to make it like she was attacked in her bed at FIRST, since fibers were found there...and then decided that Burke might see her that way, and they didn't want to traumatize him, so they took her down to the bowels of the house...as far away from Burke as they could get, without placing her outside.

Now that theory makes sense because they claimed that they didn't even wake Burke the next morning because he would be too upset.

But if he hit her, it would have been an accident. But then again, I know I heard this, that Patsy lied about his hitting JB when she was a baby. If that is true, she did not want social services looking into it, which they would have.

I just don't think he did it. He asks them point blank in the morning "what have you found".

I agree. He wouldn't have walked into the kitchen and asked that question, if he had of known what was going on. He overheard Patsy on the 911 call...saying that she found something (the ransom note, of course), and he was just wondering what it was that she had found. And that is when John says..."We are not speaking to you!" What a way to talk to your son, after you daughter had just been kidnapped. Since they didn't see the need to wake Burke up (so they say) to ask him if he had seen anything, then this would have seemed like a pefect time for them to start asking him questions. "Burke, your sister has been kidnapped, your mother found a note...did you see or hear ANYTHING"? But NOOOOOO, John sternly says..."we are not speaking to you". IOW...IMO....this is none of your business, so go back to bed.

Well I thought all the protesting was BECAUSE LE targeted John & Patsy??

Wudge, I'm curious.... are you perfectly comfortable with ALL the suspects that have been excluded? If not, which ones do you think are still potential suspects?

My home is like that too...I wouldn't be able to hear a burgular if he broke in either. But, Patsy said that she would have been able to hear if Burke and JB had of gotten up at night, and went to the kitchen, so that tells me that she COULD hear things that went on in her kitchen, even though you and I both wouldn't be able to.

That tells me that Patsy will provide answers that BENEFIT her.

She CAN hear her children in the middle of the night..... except when they're being raped & murdered.... she's deaf to sounds made by anyone over 70 pounds?

How convenient.

Exactly!

Look at post number 12, by WHY NUT at FFJ. This is the back of the Ramsey home...see how close their bedroom was to the basement window and grate?
