Pearl Harbor on lockdown after reports of active shooter at naval shipyard

SABBM:
Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is on lockdown after reports of a shooting at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, according to tweets from the base and U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii.

“The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m.,” the joint base’s message said. “Due to the ongoing security incident, access/gates to #JBPHH are closed.”

Security forces have responded to the situation, it added.

The Army message, which urged personnel to shelter in place, linked to a Hawaii News Now report saying there are “multiple gunshot victims” in an “active shooter situation.”
