Uh oh. Maybe you should test too? Stay in and safe for a few days just in case! Hoping you both stay well!DH got up at 6:00 this morning, showered, dressed, had breakfast and left the house for the office. I was awake but still in bed when I heard him come back into the house. I asked if he had forgotten something, and he said, "No. Someone in the office tested positive for COVID and that no one can return to the office until they've had a negative rapid test". The texts came last night but DH didn't have his phone turned on. DH will work from home today and call his physician to see about getting a rapid test today or tomorrow. I was afraid that this might happen with the recent surge in cases in Oakland County, particularly on the west side where the office is and most employees live. If others begin testing positive for the virus, DH will finish his last few weeks of work at home.

Oh no. That doesn’t sound good. I hope it’s just a cold or sinus infection type thing. Lots of fluids and rest for sure. Do you have anyone who can drop off meals and necessary items?Got a call yesterday afternoon that some flooring contractors we had in the house last week (masked) are feeling unwell and getting tested this morning. Husband (49 yo) started feeling unwell Saturday evening and had a fever of 101 F yesterday. I (47) woke up with headache and sore throat this morning. I am high risk and kind of scared. I canceled an appointment, a piano lesson, and a housekeeper for today. Husband calling doctor when they open. Four teenagers, including two high risk, are feeling ok.

one of the advantages of working from homeI don't have to leave the house at all this week. DH's doctor's office does not have a recommendation for rapid testing, and so far, DH hasn't found any place local that does them. He will go to his PCP's office for a script for the regular test that he had in July when he returned to work. That was the testing site where the trailer/tent was stolen last week, but the testing site is up and running again. Test results were available within 24 hours. DH will work from home this week. With just four weeks left before he retires, DH is not going to put himself in harm's way.
Update: Only three people in the office today. Everyone else working from home. Remote system overloaded: I've heard DH cussing up a storm![]()
Please keep us posted. I really need to get a new designated outlet for a second heater installed in my basement and keep putting it off, dreading anyone in my house. However I had a 1/2 bath installed this summer and feel I need to keep it from freezing this winter.
Decisions, decisions, decisions What used to be a time and $ issue has turned into a "do I take a chance with my life" issue in 2020.
How are both of you feeling? Hopefully you will get test results back soon.
Wonder if the delay (complications) was due to some of the crew being out sick?
I have two items that need repair but I’m thinking now about rescheduling it for next year.
Hope hubs is doing okay and his test comes back negative! No, it was concerns about my floor. They had to bring in different people when they saw it.
