The back way would give him the opportunity to stop off at his house, say "hi" to his grandfather, and get his bicycle for the ride back to his house from Jaws without backtracking.
I'm wondering about Monday though. Did he take the back way on Monday evening as well, and is that where CS' dismembered body was finally disposed of?
Someone said Kaupo route isn't really on SC's radar but that's incorrect. There's a huge party beach spot along the back way, shortly after the road smoothes out (coming from Hana). It's right after that huge Grand Canyon looking crevasse. If he's supplying Molly, he knows Kaupo.
Totally possible. What did SA Easter say about the Monday cell records?
Wait, let's see...
The light pair of soiled pants and zip-ties were found *north* of Nua'ailua on Hana Hwy. Assuming they were deposited there after visiting Nua'ailua, these light pants & zip-ties would have been tossed over the guardrail a few miles north of the Nua'ailua crime scene on either Sunday or Monday nights. But if we know that SC took the back way around the island on Sunday night, then that would mean he probably left the dark pants & gray hoodie at the crime scene that night, and on Monday he likely returned from Nua'ailua via Hana Hwy and deposited the light pants & zip ties.
So I'm assuming he did not take the back way around the island on Monday evening.
That roadside was part of my search area though not the Rave Grounds. They are about three acres of flat camp spots that used to be just for fishing before the Molly Experience came along.
Yeah, it's just not done by any company here. When the station closes, the computer is shut down. When the computer is down, the card swipe will no longer function. There are numerous reasons not to allow unsupervised gas purchased, not the least of which are theft (employee and stranger) and danger of spillage/fire/explosion.I have no reason to lie. And I have family in Hana, just now my family member in Hana ( is also police officer there) just texted me back. No gas when closed. Never has been.
Ive never seen a gas station able to pump gas when closed, wouldn't that be a HUGE liability? Spillage? Explosion? Etc

But let's just move on and not argue. It doesn't matter anyway, because SC was capable of having the necessary gas in one or more gas canisters. This was premeditated.
I asked that yesterday. I never thought he went there for gas. I have been to Hana and I know you can't get jack in the way of services at night. My yesterday post said something like, it was either 1) person or persons or 2) to hide evidence. It kind of matters, because we were trying to figure out why he went to Hana after the murders, which we assume took place in Nua'ailua. So if not for gas, WHY did SC go to Hana on 2/9?

We actually have zero evidence he went TO Hana. He was seen driving THROUGH Hana on the main road, that is all. While he MAY well have been going TO Hana, we just don't know that for sure.
Was he driving Charli's 4runner that night with extra cans of gas in it?
