Will check back in a few hours. crossing my fingers, toes, and even my tongue for good luck for safety, my friends. Losing power is going to be huge swatch of the area, I think.

I've read several links that indicate we should expect a gasoline shortage as well as an increase in prices at the pumps. Considering this, we all may need to fill out gas tanks up asap.

...on a lighter note, my husband just went out to the mailbox to check to see if the mail had come - you know, to our house, here in Corpus Christi, during a HURRICANE. Honestly...:facepalm:

Well my dears. Lost power 15 minutes ago. This is from my phone so msgs will be short and few. We are fine. Blowy and rain. A couple pieces of fence are down but so far we are really not having a big problem.

As for my crazy husband, no ha not even a bit British just stubborn. He's lit a candle and is in our tiny home gym work out

I saw on the news an apartment bldg burning down to the ground. Thankfully it had already been evacuated.

On Bolivar?? Cripes, it was nearly wiped out in Ike. I woke up about 45 minutes ago to a heavy rain band pouring down, according to KHOU 4" per hour in this band, 60,000 in the Houston area are without power (they haven't mentioned the fire yet). Glad you're doing okay BFMD, with the morning light coming the storm damages should start becoming visible. KHOU is having power problems at the moment, on generator power right now.

A KHOU reporter was trying to get to Rockport to view the damage, stopped under an underpass as debris on the road made it unsafe to continue.
