Well my dears. Lost power 15 minutes ago. This is from my phone so msgs will be short and few. We are fine. Blowy and rain. A couple pieces of fence are down but so far we are really not having a big problem.

As for my crazy husband, no ha not even a bit British just stubborn. He's lit a candle and is in our tiny home gym work out

I'll check back when I can

At least you got some. Doing fine here, watching the water start to come up on the back patio, we have drainage but leaves must be covering the grates, once this band passes I'll go out and clear it so the back doesn't flood. Even though the track has changed some and they think Harvey will stay to our west, still expecting vast amounts of water.

These roofs are peeled back like box tops or a can of nuts and you peel off that top part when you open first open them.

I've read several links that indicate we should expect a gasoline shortage as well as an increase in prices at the pumps. Considering this, we all may need to fill out gas tanks up asap.

It has been amazing to see how areas did not lose power (from live reports at diff areas)

After our 2004 2005 season they made it where a certain amount of our gas stations HAD to have generators.

But this is a disaster and the price gorging is pathetic. I get it , if after three days or something prices go up, but in 5 hours pls

THey dont know supply might be fine - so to instantly raising prices is nothing but greed imo

I couldn't agree with you more, KHOU was showing video of some guy who bought up all the cases of water the nearby Exxon station had, pulled into a Walmart parking lot and was selling it out of the back of his truck for triple the price.

There are laws against gouging during disasters and I think this greedy fellow is near to finding that out. Hopefully gas stations will be warned about that as well, it's just cruel adding insult to injury during these kinds of events.

in path...of Harvey, born and raised in Texas, hunkering down..backyard flooding, trees coming down, only 20 minutes from Galveston..have whole house natural gas gen, plenty of supplies, rain coming down in sheets sideways, its crazy...I'm middle 50's, ridden out many a storm..

Bouncing all around here and thus far in terms of damage seems light so far

Have not got any storm surge video yet so dont know how gulf coast beachs fared
