I did not capture the barker one earlier

In terms of evacuation:

They are going in 4 steps as it relates to trying to save people. Getting people out of homes.

Getting them to a expressway.

Loading them onto any kind of vehicle known to mankind and taking them to a wal mart

then using any other kind of vehicle know to to mankind to the shelter.

The shelter is at 5000 not a typo!

I'm watching on Periscope. Bus load going to new shelter on Dixie Dr. since GRB is at capacity.

Sorry!

Adicks is one dam, It has a reservoir

Barker is the other dam, It has a reservoir

They are trying to manage 4 different bodies of water

sorry about that!

No problem, Cariis! I am just trying to comprehend. I think I'm just beginning to. And thank you for helping me!

Did i confuse anything in my effort to explain it ??

No it does not look good. But he was careful but truthful. I think they kinda know that on the dam itself a corner is gonna start overtopping -. He was careful but real they are very worried about the Attica one

And in a way it feels kinda elitist - both are related intensely to downtown - so in weighing options its flooding out neighborhoods or downtown

To the contrary. As I said, that was a top notch explanation. What I was commenting upon was that for whatever reason I see additional info when I look at the site directly, instead of following your link. Same page, but I think maybe a different choice of parameters for data retrieval?

I'm following closely and in real time because I'm worried about Geevee, who is in the path of Addick releases.

The whole system is stressed out. Its old.

And they cant really like know how much is coming in from one or the other.

All 4 of them are in danger mode that is why they started the releases , but today had a lot of rain which has not made it there yet

they have had gages washed away - this make all this harder for them

Was the parameter I missed worse stable or better in terms of what has been going?

When you say Geevee location are you saying she is he in the area around the reservoir or downstream

how close ?

I didn't realize that today's rain hasn't made it into Addicks yet. That is scary. The odds of it not overflowing don't seem very good.

All charities take your donation for "administration:, If I had money I would go on Amazon do your thing , change the ship to address to the HOuston Police dept and that way your whole donation is going directly to the people instead of paying people to discuss with other people how to spend your donation!

If you like the idea pls spread it around !!!

That's a great idea CARIIS, I'm gonna put it on my Facebook.

My question is about the dams ? What are the dams for, for what water sources, where is the water coming from, when it isn't raining all the time ? I keep reading about these reservoirs. What's that about? So, there's always water flowing through there? From? I'm just asking because, it's apparently always a concern, but why? Cariis ? Anyone?

The additional info is a constantly updated, real time estimate of water level and volume in the reservoir, separate from the graphs. It isn't pretty.

Yes that what it looks like input is beating output - not good

Can't copy link, but typed it out. Does it work?

https://waterdata.usgs.gov

Ugh. I see that only connects one to a national page. Can you jump off from there to Addicks with the search tool? Sorry about not being able to link.

So Geevee didn't evacuate?

Not good (?) I posted the last number of 171,000 cubic acres full a little bit ago. The total has since gone up to 172, 600. Surface level is at 106.08 as of 23.20, CST.

So Geevee didn't evacuate?

I am not sure - but lots of stuff has changed as it relates to the releases and mandatory evacs, so if she is close may be evacuating now
