My partner is INSANE. She just got back from a "quick run to the store" and has now gone back out again to get white wine for the seafood stew she is making.

Sigh.....at least our state police are not ticketing people yet for being out on the roads.

Might be a good idea to get more than one bottle

Yes, she came back with 4 since the liquor store was grateful to see a customer in this weather.

So, to recap, at chez dewey we are having beer, wine, seafood stew, and homemade choc chip cookies. We have a generator to keep our fridge going so it's a party as long as the trees don't come down!!

Just got back from moving DH's Jeep to a covered parking garage. We passed a couple of hotels on the way home, and noticed several out-of-state power company trucks parked at a few of them. These folks will be risking their lives, spending time away from loved ones, etc, to come help us out. THANK YOU!!!! Very much appreciated...

We're having ground pork tacos, with bananas and chocolate ganache for dessert. Maybe some homemade cider with the apples we picked. And if we watch a movie, of course -- popcorn! Why not make the most of it?
