Been worried about your mother and Willen in northern PA. How is she doing? Does she have neighbors she can be with riding it out?

Anyone heard from Willen? She was so frightened. ??

Holly, this site is amazing. SugarQueen's DD is about 15-20 minutes away from my Mom. I called and spoke with DD, and she's agreed (bless her heart!) to go help Mom if Mom needs it. I called my Mom and gave her DD's number, and made her promise to call if she got scared, or needed help at all.

Because of this website, and because of SugarQueen's huge heart, and because SugarQueen has a wonderful daughter...I am less worried about my Mom than I was this morning. I'm still worried, of course, but I feel much comfort knowing that someone can get to her if need be, and in a far shorter amount of time than if I tried to get to her.

ROCK ON, WEBSLEUTHERS!

I, too, am concerned about Mar/WillenFan. I'm sure she'll be all right - she's with her family, so she's not alone, at least...but I wish she'd check in when she can.

Prayers said, and will continue to be said, for peace and comfort and safety during this incredible record setting storm.

May God bless and hold you all in His Arms, and know that He is right there, right there...right there.

Best-

I remember that storm! I was living in Princeton and it went from an early spring day to a blizzard with 20 inches if snow in 3 or 4 hours. It was insane.

Thank god this storm is not dumping snow instead if rain. I have more than 5 inches if rain, with no end in sight, and there would be a lot more tree and structural damage with snow. The winds are bad, but not catastrophic for the area. The storm surge is the catastrophe in this storm. So far. I hope the flooding will be manageable. But thankfully it is not snow.

Pease excuse typos. My iPad really prefers to say if rather than of.

OK, dinner is eaten, dog fed etc. Now I am in the basement which I hope with this older ('56) construction home will deflect any oncoming trees

Hope everyone else is warm, dry+ content

I've been running this link to local television coverage almost all day. Very interesting. And there are still photos under the video broadcast.

Someone else posted it earlier, but I can't remember who...but whomever it was, many thanks.
