I know we've looked at some missing persons from the 70s but does anyone have a list of all missing persons from the area? I thought I'd ask before I go off to start a list. I'm wondering about any missing persons or unsolved rape/homicides of females aged 8-20 from 1970-present.

I'm wondering if the perp could be someone who started out as a youth doing some crimes and just recently resumed it? Possibly recently out of work or some other change in his life that allowed him the freedom to commit this crime that he hasn't had for a while?

I guess it's hard to believe that a first time offender would pick 2 girls vs 1 if this was a random sexual crime and not target specific.

Maureen Brubaker Farley found sept, 1971 age 17

Those are the 4 I've looked into and seem related. Have you come across any others from 1976 forward? 4 girls in such a small area seems pretty profound. I'm trying to figure out if there are any others from that area. If it is the same perp then what caused the big gap between 1976-2012, KWIM?

I think this guy has done this before.

I have been investigating this myself. If you find more let me know, and I will do the same for you.:seeya:

In the Valerie Klossowsky case investigators found themselves investigating two other strangulation homicides in Bremer county and wondered if these cases could be related.

This is exactly why I have a very hard time believing that it was a "random sexual crime".

Many serial killers pick their victims in a wide age range.

Angela Renee Buck age 37. The body of 37 year old Angela Buck was found with a single gun shot wound to the chest on Friday August, 11 1995 near a creek on North Pilot Grove Road 1 1/2 miles east of Independence avenue East of Waterloo and south of Dunkerton. The site was in a wooded area, just below a short bridge.

Awhile back I looked deeper into these cases and found a shoe connection. Wondered if the perp had a foot fetish.

There are also some cases in surrounding states -- Missouri and Minnesota, especially.

Quite a number of them are missing boys, Jacob Wetterling for example. He might not be sex-specific. Some killers aren't.

Personally, I suspect someone more like Jessica Ridgeway's killer. Somebody who has a juvenile history of strange behavior and scary crimes, but no actual offenses against children.

What does bump mean?
I'm not sure what the following symbols mean after that quote also.
Please help!

"Bump" means bringing up a previous post.

The symbol after that is to remind us not to break the rules.

First off I just want to clarify that I in no way think the family is involved, nor do I feel anything they have done is in any way suspicious. With that said, I just worry that the Collins don't seem to be too worried about getting justice. They seem like they have forgiven the killer and thats that. But, there are still children at risk, and with this killer still at large, is very ,very dangerous. I really don't think the killer gives a rats arse if he is forgiven or not. From all the interviews I have seen of the Collins, they always seem so content with the fact that now Elizabeth can rest in peace. Okay that's great, but children are at risk.

I don't get how you can forgive someone when you don't know even know who they are. If people did believe the Collins were suspicious, their nonchalant attitude would be something that people would use as "proof" that they were involved.

I understand their faith in God and to leave it in Gods hands, and the killer will get it in the end. But usually thats after the killer has been prosecuted to the fullest.

What I find as a contradiction is, and not just in this case, when victims come out and say they have forgiven ...but then they are pushing for the death penalty.

Of course, I am opposed to the death penalty so maybe that's why I find it hypocritical.

I'm starting to think that the girls bodies were found reduced to bones because I would think that someone would of noticed the smell of decomposition. I'm also starting to think that COD was gunshot, but not at 7 bridges elsewhere and moved. If they were killed by a gun I would think bullets would of been found and then they would know the make of the gun used.

Not to "correct" you...but more JMO...from the interviews I'VE seen, I have seen the forgiveness, peace, etc. all coming from Heather only...and not Drew. :( I don't get the feeling that Heather and Drew are in the same place in regards to coping with Lizzy's death.

I think Drew is VERY adamant about finding out who did this, doing whatever he can to ensure this doesn't happen to another child, and has NOT forgiven this killer.

Each person handles grief differently...but in all the interviews I've seen/heard with Heather she almost avoided answering questions about Lizzy and Lyric in an effort to proclaim her faith in God, etc. I've said before, she's the most forgiving person I've ever met because she appears to have found an inner peace with her daughter's death that I'm not sure I would ever find.

What caught me off guard was I remember one particular interview where the interviewer asked her if she had anything to say to the person who had abducted the girls (this was before their bodies were found) and she immediately said "I forgive whoever did this, I am not judging you, and I just have faith in God that he will bring the girls home...and I know he will."

There was something about this statement that just made my hair stand up, and I don't know why. The words are meaningful, to the point, etc., it was just something about either how or what she said that just gave me chills...and I have no idea why.

I am so glad Drew is still pursuing this killer and wants justice for these girls...because until this person is caught, there is always a chance another person's life is at risk...be it child or adult. :(

I agree with you...even if they choose to
