We even had an attempted abduction here in SD the other day. A guy in a car pulled up to the mall and tried to pull a young woman into his vehicle. The victim got away. No one seen anything. These people are all over the place so it seems. With everybody having cellphones its too bad they didn't take a picture of the vehicle but I suppose if you're the victim you want to run away from the situation as fast as you can.
Yeah.. it's scary! There was one in my area the other day too (Sacramento CA area). The little girl was WITH HER MOM and still was grabbed and thrown in a trunk. From the article linked below, BBM:
"The girl was walking with her mother and another sibling <snip> when a man pulled up alongside the trio in a vehicle and grabbed the child."

Thank goodness he was in a hurry and her leg was in the way of the trunk closing, or we'd probably have another "Missing" thread here on WS for this child. There was another little boy around here grabbed right in front of his Dad a few months ago too - fortunately the Dad caught up to the kidnapper before he got the struggling boy into his car, but geez. So brazen.
I know it's not directly related to this case but in a way it is. It's come up a few times that maybe the girls would've been safer if an adult were with them. Now I'm starting to wonder if THAT is even true. It's so sickening.
