Re: Aussie dramatic actors
Think what you may about Mel, but I certainly respect him as an actor and as a director. I caught The Bounty today on TV and gosh! I knew Tony Hopkins was in it, but Mel acted opposite Daniel Day-Lewis too? And Liam Neeson?

For the locals of this thread:

For anyone that gets KWWL in Iowa, Drew and Heather Collins will be on The Steele Report from 10:00-10:30 a.m. on Sunday. They will be talking about how the investigation is going and Heather's relationship with Misty. It won't be available online later if you're not local, though.

Well, I guess prison will be just the place for Dan Morrissey to be a good person. He will be off drugs there, It seems it has been very rare for him to be drug free otherwise. imo

The sentencing judge made a statement concerning Morrissey;

Morrissey has a lengthy criminal history and admitted he has drug problem, but he says the drug issues stem from grief associated with his daughter’s murder.
The judge thought otherwise — calling him a habitual offender. He said Morrissey has negatively impacted every person he’s come in contact with in his life and that the best thing for the community and himself — is 90 years behind bars.

I wonder why it won't be available online? Some other Steele Reports are online.

Drew still makes me sad when he discusses Lizzie. JMO.

A<modsnip> now has Lizzie's bedroom, which was difficult for Drew.

Drew feels an RSO is responsible, but LE is keeping things close to the vest. Per Drew, LE is still trying to determine if Klunder was involved.

Heather says as of right now, she does not see her relationship with Misty improving. She has no contact with her.

Drew likes the Angel's Island, he faces away from where the bikes were found and finds peace.

There is a lot more info in the videos.

First time I've heard that...I wonder if it's true?

Not that it makes much difference I guess.

Interesting comment on that article.

the poster has obviously not looked at his rap sheet! It is one of the longest ones I have ever seen.

I have no sympathy for a person involved in drugs as it is a choice they make. They expect others to support their habit by letting them slide for burglarizing homes, businesses, robbing friends, family and other people, fraudulently obtaining state/federal assistance, and it goes on and on!

And finally, DM has the NERVE to blame his situation on Lyric ... "he says the drug issues stem from grief associated with his daughter’s murder" - it is amazing the lengths a drug addict will go to place blame on everyone else.

I feel sorry for DM that his daughter and niece fell upon evil hands ... and I pray it is not a result of his selfish habits and choices he has made in his pathetic life. JMO

My two best friends became meth/cocaine addicts and didn't think twice about stealing from me; I would have given them the shirt off my back prior to them selling their souls to the devil. One stole my identity and the other stole my visiting sister's wedding ring from my house!

I am all for the removal of drug addicts from society - we do not want them in our world! :twocents:

Personally I think addicts are unwell and should be treated that way.

On the other hand, I think this meth drug has some horrific side effects, one of which is it actually destroys a personality, so there is nothing left to "save". It causes hyper sexualisation and violence, and turns users into the Walking Dead capable of pretty much anything, like no other drug.

Hello Websleuth friends. I have taken a break from this case. I'm under the assumption that Klunder is not our guy or we would of known by now.

There is video of Heather and Drew's interview (three parts):

http://www.kwwl.com/category/256572/the-steele-report

Thanks for posting this...I had full intentions of watching this and time got away from me this morning.

I don't know say it in a round about way or a "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all" way...so I'm just going to say the same thing I've said before - Heather's behavior (IMO) is just not right.

I'm not going to go into all of the things in this interview that appall me about it, but there are many.

I feel for Drew...I do, but when you're married to a woman who "gave it to God right from the beginning (she had to say that TWICE to make sure everyone heard her) I'd be questioning what the hell is wrong with my spouse.

There are STAGES of grieving - not "I'm out - God, this is yours - I'm movin' on."

Faith and forgiveness is one thing, but making sure everyone understands clearly that she "just doesn't think about it" makes me wonder when she's going to grasp this situation and face reality.

My personal opinion is that I have suspected a drug connection since the get-go. I do not believe any family members harmed the girls. The reasons I make the drug connection follow:

1. 4 days prior to Lyric and Elizabeth's abduction and murder, Lyric and Tammy's daughter were late coming home from a park in Lyric's neighborhood. When Misty called Dan to tell him about it he told Misty to call the cops. I thought that was odd coming from someone who avoids LE because of his activities.

2. Dan was to take a plea deal on July 12th and changed his mind because "he wasn't ready to go to jail," according to a Tammy, I believe, though it could have been Wylma or Vicki who said that. Could it be he didn't take the plea deal because he had received threats of harm to the family?

If Dan had been ratting people out I can envision retaliation by those he ratted out or I can envision the people he was GOING to rat out at the plea deal, taking the girls as hostages until they knew Dan was going to shut his mouth. Maybe something went wrong in the hostage situation and they were killed? Maybe someone who lost a family member to a long stint in prison because of Dan ratting thought he should also see what it is like to lose a loved one?

These are my opinions and have been since late July of 2012.

Great post! and may I add: "When the judge asked Morrissey if there was any legal reason to not continue with sentencing, Morrissey said, "I'm scared." :scared:

http://www.kwwl.com/story/23426517/...ntenced-to-90-years-for-multiple-drug-charges

I have no idea what Dan is scared of here, but it makes me wonder if it is drug related and/or the rumor that snitches are not treated well in prison or he is afraid of Bubba .... but then and again, it is a little late to be thinking of the consequences now! JMO :jail:

Most obviously, Elizabeth has no connection to Dan's friends. Neither does Lyric.

Two children were murdered, not one. This is not all about the non-custodial father of Lyric, this is about the abduction and murder of Elizabeth and her cousin in Elizabeth's neighborhood.

I agree that this is about the abduction and murder of both of these girls, but I have not seen anything that has changed my mind of why it happened.

Thank you Marilyn for posting the link for Drew and Heather's interview. Drew I understand. Heather I do not understand. She can forgive who killed the girls, but she does not ever see the relationship with her own flesh and blood being repaired? That sounds superficial to me. I am not judging for I have not walked in Heather's shoes, but I don't understand her responses.

To me that is unfathomable. Having a child abducted and killed is so statistically unlikely and finding someone who can relate and you can talk to has to be difficult, having your own sister in the same situation seems it should be something they could go through together.

I watched the interview Sunday morning. After the first commercial break, the closed captioning stopped working, so I just focused on body language. I've been trying to put into words my impressions ever since, but just haven't been able to do it due to the contradictions.

I will say I think one of Heather's goals in life has been respectability. I base this just on her demeanor and how she presented herself as far as clothing, hair, and makeup. Misty is... not respectable, at least as far as Heather is concerned.

Personally I don't think this interview is any different from any of the plethora of others I've seen these two put on.

I would give anything to have some face time with Misty...SHE is the one who I want to hear from.

I have a list of questions I'd love to ask her, but from what Heather says she's moved out of town. Not sure what "out of town" means - out of Waterloo? Good for her if she has...if you're going to improve your life after drugs I personally think one of the hardest choices is to remove yourself from the friends/situation that put you down that path...and after something like this, with her not wanting to be in the spotlight I'm sure staying in Waterloo would be difficult.

I don't know how you can't know what's going on with your sister even if you aren't in contact with her - unless she's cut out Wylma and the rest of the family as well. The rest of the family appears very close knit with Heather and Drew on the outside, and Grandma's role in Heather's life was babysitter and cleaning lady.

I'd be curious to know if Heather still has Grandma coming to clean for her. :waitasec:
