*Sentencing Hearing (@ 2:30pm ET) - IA - Michele "Luna" Jackson (17) missing Sept. 22, 2024 & found deceased on Sept. 23, 2024 in Farnhamville City Park. *Nathaniel Kyven Bevers McGivney (21/now 22) arrested & charged (9/23/24) with abuse of corpse-failing to disclose known location [Class D felony] [<<charges were dismissed 10/11/24], charged (10/11/24) & arraigned (10/11/24) with 1st degree murder & abuse of corpse-hide & bury. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. Calhoun County
Bench [Non Jury] Trial began on 7/8/25 & ended on 7/9/25. VERDICT: Guilty of 1st degree murder & abuse of corpse.

7/9/25 Wednesday, Trial Day 2: Judge Derek Johnson deliberated for nearly two hours before ruling that Bevers McGivney was guilty of first-degree murder & abuse of a corpse for his attempts to hide Jackson’s body. Sentencing hearing on 8/15/25 & faces a mandatory life sentence without parole.
