It's time for a new thread. Let's start moving over to Thread #51. This one will close in about 5 minutes.

Watching this made me very emotional. Four young, innocent, beautiful college kids with their whole lives ahead of them are dead, their loved ones left to grieve for a lifetime because of the accused defendant.

Seeing BK back on ID soil, instead of hiding out in the safety of Mommy and Daddy's nice home, being driven away from the plane by the very dedicated members of LE that have lived through this nightmare since Nov 13th made me tear up. This is real life folks, this is a very bad dude and I hope he never sees a day as a free man again.

Agree. You have to wonder if he left there thinking he’d never return.

Yup. He absolutely cut himself and they knew it:

MOSCOW, Idaho – A Federal Bureau of Investigation surveillance team tracked Idaho quadruple murder suspect Bryan Kohberger and his father on a cross-country road trip from Washington State to Pennsylvania and asked Indiana police to pull him over, a law enforcement source told Fox News.

The law enforcement source told Fox News that the FBI surveillance team was seeking video images of Kohberger as well as his hands.

Bryan Kohberger and his father were pulled over twice in Indiana on Dec. 15 while making the cross-country trip.

The law enforcement source said that investigators were still building their case on Dec. 15 to make an arrest, but added that genealogy played a major role.

Could they have "released" the two bodycam videos in the opposite order than they occurred. If the botched one that only showed the dirty car door was first, they might have had to try again. Yes, it's a stretch but IF they wanted good video of BK they had it with the supposed "first" one and no need to try again. But the reverse could be true.
They are timestamped

Don't think the address in important as a student. I have had multiple kids in different states. They usually don't make a ton of money (low enough for 0 tax), and the only reason to relocate is for in state tuition. I don't know every case, but often there is no instate tuition difference for grad school.

What didn’t make sense to me until I read about WSU Teaching Assistants (TA) was registering the car in Washington, unless it was just in case his PA license plate had been spotted (and that seems dumb but possibly last resort: Oh I messed up. Let’s hope changing the license plate saves me). Since Washington allows out-of-state registration for full time students.

However, WSU does tell grad school TAs to work on establishing residency, though to me it seems like it would be smartest to do this right away in July or August before school begins so the next August (your second year) you’ll be in-state. So if police recorded that accurately, it looks like he already started the process of being a resident.

So even if the license plate change was to try to prevent detection, it looks like he‘ll have a good excuse. “I was just changing residency for in state tuition.” bbm:

Assistantship Tuition Waivers

Graduate assistants who maintain at least a half-time (20 hrs. /wk.) appointment are eligible for full tuition waivers. Students appointed a quarter time assistantship (10 hrs./wk.) are eligible for half tuition waivers. To qualify for a tuition waiver, students must reside within the state of Washington. Non-resident graduate students on assistantship appointments are eligible for a non-resident waiver for the out-of-state portion of tuition during the first year they are on assistantship appointment at WSU. During that first year, students are responsible for taking all necessary steps to establish legal residency in the state of Washington. If residency is not established, non-resident graduate students will be responsible for non-resident tuition after their first academic year. International students are provided an out-of-state tuition waiver with their assistantship appointment throughout their academic career.

.
(Everything not plain fact moo. I wrote this in another thread but added the part about his Washington drivers license being listed on the August 21,2022 citation. )

Not to be "that girl," but they're flying BK on a single engine turbo prop plane.

Most of the megarich who charter/own planes fly on 2 engine jets like Learjets and Gulfstream which are much faster, maybe double the speed.
I think this drawn-out flight across the country has a secondary function: a psychological operation that allows the FBI to observe how BK responds in situations where he's given varying degrees of control (or the semblance of control), how he responds to people with different personality types/communication styles, etc. All of this is going to be extremely useful to LE, both in honing their interview methods and determining trial strategy. I would be shocked if one of the FBI officials on that plane is not from the behavioral analysis unit.

Apparently Kohberger changed his auto's license plates from PA plates to ID plates 6 days after the murders! Must be an attempt to disguise the vehicle. They got the right man, IMO!

"Bryan Kohberger, the suspect accused of murdering four University of Idaho students, changed his license plates just a few days after the crime was committed, Newsweek has learned. <snip>

CarFax documents show that the registration was changed from Pennsylvania, where his parents live, to Washington on November 18, 2022, and a Newsweek public records request with the Washington State Department of Licensing showed the license plates on the white Hyundai Elantra were changed on November 19."

Agreed.
That's not suspicious at all !
