Rapid City to Pullman should be about 2 hr 45 min flight time, plus however long they're on the ground at Rapid City.
Long day for BK to anticipate what he's in for. Lots of time to think. I wonder how much he is talking.

Which jail will be transported to? Is it the latah county jail that has a whopping 23 inmates?
Yes. Plus, for everyone’s convenience, it’s located in the basement of the courthouse.

As they descend into Rapid City, there are 2 other aircraft that are piquing my interest—
There’s a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter that’s been holding its position for well over 10 minutes SE of the airport, and a Learjet 45XR that also appears to be descending into Rapid City simultaneously, currently at 3,800 feet. It originated at McKellar-Sipes regional in Jackson, TN.
No way is the army using a Blackhawk for this case. Military bases are in Rapid City.

According to Latah County Sheriff Richard Skiles, upon arrival the defendant will be housed in the 37-inmate capacity jail. Kohberger, however, will not be part of the lockup facility’s general population.

Kohberger will be the highest-profile person to ever by incarcerated in the local and relatively tiny jail, Latah County, or the broader agricultural region of the Gem State known as The Palouse.

I wonder if there is an advantage legally to get the charges before placing him in jail. Making sure rights are violated etc.

Interesting that the same plane, belonging to the Pennsylvania state police, was in Idaho on 12/28. In Boise, where the state crime lab is, no less.

Appears that they collected some type of DNA for comparison in Pa and transported it to be tested. That was Wednesday and he was picked up early am Friday. Can't wait to see what they collected!

I won’t be specific about why I think he answered the where are you headed question so literally, but it fits with what I posted previously (posts deleted due to speculating about a medical diagnosis).

haven't seen your posts but agree on giving literal answers.

It's also possible that he really did plan on getting Thai food too, as @Mo Thuairim pointed out on the last thread - Thai is a good choice for vegans. ( I had to do a vegan meal for a couple and panicked at first and then realised Thai was the best solution)

I looked at your link and scrolled through the plane's recent flights using the previous and next buttons. The plane began its journey on December 27, flying from Harrisburg, PA to Scranton, PA. Then it headed west to Boise, ID landing there on December 28, with stops in Grand Rapids, MI and Sioux City, SD on the way. It returned to Scranton, PA by the 29th (With a stop in Des Moines, IA) before going back to Harrisburg, PA.

So, if PA police were monitoring BK for 4 days (Dec 26-30) before the arrest, this plane made a trip to Scranton-close to BK's area before flying to Boise, ID and back.

MOO is the state police picked up local Scranton LE and flew to Boise, ID to meet with and/or pick up ID LE before the arrest was made. I assume the availability of a PA plane is why that state's plane did all the flying.

Would love to be a fly on the wall when BK meets Chief Fry. Edited typo.

Wow this is a long flight. In a commercial jet, this could be a 5 hour or so flight (or less). I feel bad for all the LE on it - it must feel like it is dragging and taking forever.

Accused killer Bryan Kohberger’s defense team has hired a veteran Washington state crime scene reconstruction expert.

Forensic expert Matthew Noedel, owner and operator of Noedel Scientific, and his team spent five hours inside the home on 1122 King Street, Moscow, where four University of Idaho students were brutally stabbed on Nov. 13.

I bet he isn’t talking a whole lot. Didn’t a guard say that while in his jail cell, he laid on the floor and faced the wall and didn’t talk?

I didn’t think so, but they’ve now been holding their position for 31 minutes, which is nonetheless interesting even if unrelated.
I should probably go outside.
