Apologies if this has already been bought up. In Australia, when pulled over by Police (LE), they approach the Driver’s side of the Car. Is it different in the US?

On the highway/freeway the medians aren't all that wide and there's been instances where LE or others and their car were struck by oncoming vehicles while stopped.

It’s called a Whisper Stop. Feds ask locals to find an infraction to stop someone. Crossed center line, speeding, follow to close, failure to use signal changing lanes, etc. So there is ultimately a violation to stop them. Sort of a gray area but not technically illegal since they do find an infraction. Maybe Indiana state/locals just didn’t want to admit to participating. MOO

Source: Spouse is a Federal Agent and told me about Whisper Stops, but he is not directly involved with this case.
Maybe the reason there were 2 stops back to back was because the 2nd LE hadn't gotten the word that BK had already been pulled over. He did seem interested in who pulled them over when they mentioned the previous stop.

Has anyone else noticed how he always looks at the cameras/news pool, even turning his head to do so, or that photo with his eyes to the side? What do you think about this vs. hanging head down?
Defiant, likes the attention.

US Law Question

IF or when, the Probable Cause Affidavit is released today (US time) ….. when does Law Enforcement have to start handing over their evidence and proof to Anne Taylor, Council appointed, for the defendant ????

Does that start today?? Or later down the track????

I went to bed last night after he got off the plane and was being brought to the jail. I've seen the booking photo, but is there any video of him getting out of the truck and going into the jail?
not to my knowledge. I believe they pulled into a garage upon arrival.

No photos entering jail since journos /photogs were prohibited from accessing the sally port.

Injuries are not evidence or a crime!
Sure they are suspicious, but they are not evidence of a crime. Especially a six week old injury. I've never heard of a traffic stop to check for injuries as evidence of a crime. I've heard of officers investigating someone for a crime based on injuries, but they are generally not evidence.
The whole set up doesn't make sense to me, "Hey can you put this guy over and see if he has an injuries on his hands. That will tell us if he murdered these kids".
I have to agree. Maybe if it was known that the suspect had a particular injury and they wanted to confirm that this guy in this car had that injury? Even if there was blood at the scene and they suspect he was injured, they don't know what injury to look for in a brief visual check. I could believe it if they said they requested the stops to slow him down or something, but it almost seems like someone saw people on the internet speculating about BKs hands and came up with this story. IMO.

It was confirmed to have been Hancock County yesterday ( or the day before)
Hancock county also uses SUVs, that's why this LEO replies “it may have been county.”
Thanks. The video footage was much better in the first video.
Do you think they were instructed to stop him? Or was it coincidence?

PA perp walked him. Idaho was a tiny bit nicer.

He’s going to have to get used to that routine, that garage, that entrance unless the trial is transferred out of the county.

I feel the same way. I'll be happy to eat crow, but I'm not buying it. JMO

I think he was pulled over as part of getting the arrest warrant. If any cuts or bruises were still visible, whoever it was that initiated the stop would have reported that back, and it could have been included in the PCA. Before that stop, they may not have been that physically close to BK to see if he had any healing wounds. If he was still pretty cut up maybe he would not have ended up all the way home in PA. It sounds like decisions were made along the way.

So he’s appearing tomorrow, January 6??
For those up late last night today is tomorrow. Or is it tomorrow is today?

Or is that just a technical error?
No, tomorrow as in January 5th (so today, essentially).

Ditto. Short of gangrene 7 weeks... no way, no how, IMO

Maybe if this is true- LE wanting a glimpse of BK’s hands - it is after they isolated a DNA sample at the scene (awaiting a match) and surmised he must have cut his hands? I have been on the fence about the two stops being purposeful for all the reasons many have opined, but I absolutely did think he had something happening with the right wrist. The first stop was a fail with LE shoving his I-watch in his face the whole time lol and I suppose that caused the second stop- all moo of course. Can’t help but believe media is reading along with us, but re Fox, they are typically the last people to announce things without verification . Ie election results etc. jmo and experience
I think the watch was recording him that's why it's shoved in his face like it is, if you notice the cop seems to be angling it at him and even moving his wrist to keep him in focus. We also hear 'recording' in a female computer voice just as he steps out of his vehicle. It could be his body cam, but I wondered if it was the watch.

I started out thinking that they were instructed to stop him
. later, after we got more information, I believe it's a coincidence which could have had adverse consequences

Unless they get a change of venue, he is not. The Latah county jail, where he’s being held, is in the basement of the courthouse.
