How do we know this is fake news?
It isn't as far as I know. I know Indianapolis news mentioned it multiple times before I saw it in national circulation. He was apparently stopped twice between the west and east side.

that does not mean the media and social media have the right to have a field day implicating his father in a murder. It is sick and sickening. That's the kind of world we live in today--- and it is not pretty.
And they did that.
Appalling and egregious.
There needs to be legislation to protect innocence.
The friends, those at the food stop, those in the club were all targeted one by one.
Some of those accusations stick.
It makes me sick

am gonna go check the actual body cam's digital clocks instead of replying on what was in print at that link

ok, done it.
TMZ 15.51 ( 2nd stop)
10.43 ( 1st stop)
But it doesn’t take 4 hours to drive through Indiana, unless they had a long lunch or pitstop. Maybe the timestamps are off.

Yes, fake news.

I guess we all want to believe that LE knew what they were doing all along. I just can't subscribe to the thought that they stopped him not once, but twice in the same day for an offense that (please correct me if I'm wrong) usually does not result in a ticket. I feel that it had to be intentional. Whether the intent was to spook him, let him know he was being watched in some capacity, confirm the Elantra was actually his, whatever the reasoning, I think it was purposeful.

A theory that makes total sense to me would be that they initially pulled him over to see if this was in fact the Elantra they had been looking for- remember at that time the entire country was looking for a white Elantra. Again, MOO, but I bet they pulled him over, confirmed it was in fact him, and made an additional stop shortly after to gather more information. Perhaps the first officer noticed something that needed a second look, maybe they were trying to gage his reaction, who knows. I for one have never been pulled over twice in one day, however, I feel like if I was and told the secondary officer I had just been pulled over for the same exact infraction, I would be issued a ticket or at least an on-the-record warning.

didn’t bryan say we were stopped about an hour ago to the second cop?
That is where I thought I heard the "hour" either the cop said I know you were just stopped an hour ago, or Bryan .. I can't remember but my recollection was it was in the video as well.

May have been asked and answered on a prior thread but do we know if semen was found on any of the bodies? Thinking that would be a good source of DNA - also a stupid move by a killer if trying to prevent identification. I know there wasn't SA. But maybe the killer couldn't help himself - the anticipation and fantasies made real, etc. m00
Anything involving semen would be classed as sexual assault, I would say no, there wasn’t any.

All depends on what they can prove, but interstate stalking:

Additionally they could try to make the case that the totality of the felony murders crimes were committed across state lines but that is iffy.
Might be holding Federal crimes in their back pocket so to speak.

All conjecture based, let's wait for the PCA. They've had enough time to get DNA back so there should be clarity on the crime scene forensics.
@PrairieWind has already confirmed in no uncertain terms that this is NOT a Federal case. It is a state case.

Oh wow. I didn’t know this. So potentially months of stalking…horrifying.
Which is interesting because didn't he first move to Washington in August? Was this his intention the whole time?

ADMIN NOTE:

We've been asked as to whether we will allow the leaked image of the girls talking with the individual at the Corner Club before they left for the Grub Truck. Half the true crime sleuthing world has probably seen the leaked image by now, so it is allowed for reasonable discussion.

Just because the girls are talking to one of many individuals in a popular public venue does not make that person a POI or suspect. This person could be totally innocent and, as they have not been officially named POI or suspect, we won't allow him to be publicly sleuthed or dragged through the mud with direct or indirect accusations. Members can sleuth away all they like behind the scenes, in private or in group conversation with other members, but NO public sleuthing of that person, attempts to publicly name or identify name him or post any personal or identifying information.

Post respectfully and responsibly. Any questions, jump off any post to Report and ask your question.

Thanks !!
based on nothing but my opinion, I think BK often drove the short distance from Pullman to Idaho, looking to score some action with girls. He seems to have had no social skills, and has been described as 'çreepy' by women employees of a bar he frequented. Maybe chance contacts with the victims at the bar made him furious when he moved on the g
I think the various LE agencies want credit & their day in the sun.....
Re discussing this suspect in terms of serial killers, I just came across this, which I think is very thought provoking.

Was it the first stop BK mentioned on our way to eat Thai food.?

I haven't seen any other reports stating that the FBI instructed or ordered LE to make the stops. Have you?

I guess it comes down to being my opinion, since I don't have any actual proof.

It was 1.5 miles from the house i think so not that close but on a Sunday around midnight

Has it been confirmed that Xana and Maddie worked at a vegan restaurant or is that a rumor?

With you on "but twice in one day....?" And, tailgating? What the? How many people actually get pulled over for tailgating? Tailgaters are everywhere, everyday. JMO...there had to be something bigger than tailgating.

I suppose it depends on how happy BK is with his defense. IMO, he's very fortunate to be represented by Anne Taylor who has a very good reputation and has served as a PD since 2004.
IMO I think he'll do everything he can to show he can get along with and work well with this female attorney.

It was a normal restaurant that had a vegan option.

There were defensive wounds on one or more victims so perhaps there is DNA under the victim's nails or on their hands etc...In that case, the DNA cannot be explained away as simply as BK attending a party in the house.

I assume BK used all his criminology class knowledge to try to get away with it and one of the biggest things is do not leave behind your DNA. I am very curious to find out how his DNA got left behind. I have a feeling he thought it would be easy killing people in their sleep but was caught off guard when one or more of the victims fought back. Maybe he had a hat and it fell on a victim leaving a hair or trace DNA.

My first thought is DNA being left when a victim fought back, like his glove came off, amongst other scenarios.

Will be waiting for answers. The DNA is critical and will of course be disputed by the defense. Defense will file a Motion to try to get the DNA thrown out and if that doesn't work they will get their own expert to dispute it - I think. I have seen the defense try this in other trials.
Maybe a part of his clothing was cut off ??

Ok. I see. Thx. Pretty much all restaurants have vegan options now days so that doesn’t make that restaurant particularly special to vegans i would think??

Has it been confirmed that he dined there sometimes??
