I agree. There were quite a few people coming and going in that house. The stairs, hallways,entry/exit doors,kitchen were common areas. Young people think & react differently. Maybe she honestly did not know what to exactly think of it & she was tired. That simple.Completely agree. The Afadavit quoting her as being in a "frozen shock phase" when she saw him walked past her in a way may overstate her actual frame of mind. I agree with your view. She may have been momentarily shocked by this person but it didnt rise to the level of grave concern. Nor did the other strang noises. Something was going on, she didnt know what it was, went back to bed and never heard another thing. Then woke up to a living nightmare. God love her.

I know my college age DD did not like drama, conflict or confrontation.
