You're coming very close to saying that I don't have common sense. So I will say that I asked for a source for something you stated as fact, without a link, and you didn't want to give it.

I agree that it's unlikely - but nothing about this case is likely.

Instead, you imply that I lack common sense, logic and knowledge of arrest procedure.

We theorize lots of things here, but it's great to have actual documentation. Keep in mind that the latent footprint evidence may not have been known to PA LE and this all happened fairly quickly.

I figure he had already disposed of them, but if he was still in possession of or wearing Van's by the time he was arrested, I'd like to know. I am aware that sometime between arrest minute and arrival in Idaho, someone would have taken them into evidence, but I'd like to see it verified.

That's all. Not everything goes down in a case like this according to logic.
No offense intended. I use minimal words to express my opinions in writing and when speaking. It may read as terse to some.

IMOO BK was so engaged in killing that nothing else mattered that night. One track mind. I doubt if he even thought about his capture.

So I live more southeast and know a ton of LDS kids who go out west for college (Utah and Idaho). And of those who take a car, it’s very common for the parents to fly out and drive with them. Also with the major airport being so far away, it’s hard to leave a car behind since you really can’t Uber there and it’s not great to leave a car at the airport for a month or so, so many opt to just drive home and have their cars while home. Just my experience on the matter. Definitely agree it’s not related to the crime, but just a dad being a dad to his youngest child.

A bad neighbor who gave a reporter permission to “visit”?

My family moved out to the West coast when I was in college. I drove myself across country solo ( Ca to Va) 4 times back and fourth when school was out. No way, no how did either of them remotely consider coming with me. I wouldn't have wanted them to anyway. That would have been absolute HELL!! I could make it in 3 days flat. The last leg was looong but doable. The 84 Olds Cutless was a trooper!!

I really hope investigators are looking into his past. (We know they are.) His past relationships with long term and short term girlfriends and friends and what the dynamics were. If ??? there were any long term or short term relationships. I said before and I'll say it again, he has done something like this in the past. He needs to be looked at for missing people, anything like this everywhere he has been in the last 10/15 years. Jmoo

Because they are not Vans. When you're arrested you don't choose your footwear, nor do you keep your own shoes.
Oh I know this, however, I was responding to the other two posters one wanted a verifiable link so I provided a photo

I think it's possible that it was accidentally stated as fact. I think

Photographs,in the above source show some shoes BK is/was wearing after arrest. I don't know if they are Vans are not. Hope this helps. I think this link probably shows the shoes he was wearing when he got back to Idaho after extradition IMO. Could be wrong though so IMO

I agree. In the ten plus years I have been here, I have never called suspects or POI''s by anything other than intials, but the victims have done nothing to have their names hidden, and for that reason, I will continue to say their names...

Kaylee Goncalves
Maddie Mogen
Xana Kernodle
Ethan Chapin

While their killer's name does not deserve to be spoken or remembered, their names will be remembered forever by all that know and love them, and many who have never met them. JMO
The reason was that when you google their names all the postings in WS come up. It was a courtesy not have that happen to victims and others involved.

Was it confirmed X was actually the one that ordered Door Dash from her own account? Or did SOMEONE else order it for her? - not asking if she received it. Asking if SHE is the one that has been verified as being the one that pushed the order on her account to order it.

He is not a young kid, he's twenty-eight years old. What has it got to do with the murder if 'as you posted' that his father may have drove out in August? I'm confused here.
BINGO! *Failure to Launch* Syndrome? What a BURDEN on his parents.

Me either, I'm curious.

They looked just like that a long time ago.
I think those are common jail/prison issue shoes. I might be wrong though. Not LV thats for sure.

It seems clear from the affidavit that Xana ordered the food, and LE spoke with the DoorDash delivery driver who likely either handed it to her or left it at the door at 4am. Xana was also on TikTok at 4:12, so she probably was awake to retrieve the food (and order it) if she was on her phone.

IMO, are you sure the shoes are gone? It looked like BK was wearing Vans shoes when he got off the plane in Idaho.

those black shoes will just be the prison issue shoes he received.

I think PraireWind was just meaning that in all likelihood he has already disposed of the vans shoes he owned which left a footprint at the scene

I can't find a better photo of the prison issue shoes right now, but you can glimpse them here

IDK - what if he'd hadn't decided he was going to commit a murder on 13th

what if on some of those other 12 visits to the area, he also switched off his phone for a few hours en route? ( That level of detail wouldn't need to go into that PCA) eg he'd also planned to commit the crime or a different crime on a previous visit, perhaps leaving the car further away & approaching by foot.

or what if he was out of his mind on 13th and this is why his behaviour is so frantic & so reckless rather than careful? ( out of his mind - am being deliberately vague, could mean drugs, could be anything)

or what if his original plan involved several target houses in the King road area but . ( IDK the specificity of these towers' triangulation vs number of houses with mainly women residents)

BTW am not expecting any answers to any of these, Maybe 2024 we might get more info?

link for the c12 visits

I wonder if he was casing other homes in Moscow and stalking other potential victims, or if he had fixated exclusively on the residents of the King Road home. I find it terrifying to think how many people he may have had in his sights.

Sorry to be pedantic but this same conversation just happened here not even an hour ago, and it IMO it will grow wings if not addressed each time someone makes this (quite understandable) error.

Her name starts with X, not Z. Xana.

(I don't know the answer to the Doordash question, sorry)

Yes, thanks, I too think those are prison shoes, (no shoe laces), I was just letting the OP I responded to know that a long time ago that's what Vans looked like.

ETA, I hope they found those shoes and they're part of evidence!

What states surround PA?
I couldn't find anything in PA, I searched for knife crime only
New York and New Jersey both border North Eastern PA.

Gray added, "I don't think anybody knows what they might do in that situation."

I've seen that mentioned by various people quite a bit since the affidavit was released.

As I've said on here before, the roommate who saw the evil coward was obviously scared stiff, and I can understand her actions that night.

But with all due respect, Mr. Gray, as a 6-2 former D1 college football player and lifetime physical fitness junkie, if I would've been in that situation, I know EXACTLY what I would've done ... and it may've gotten me killed.

Unless I would've clearly seen the guy with a gun or knife, no doubt I would've stepped out of the bedroom and confronted him asking, "Who are you?", "What are you doing here?", "Why do I hear crying?" etc.

If he had the knife in his hand and I didn't see it, or if he pulled the knife from his waistband or somewhere else after I confronted him, he may've gotten one swing, which (hopefully) I would've been able to dodge or block.

If he would've missed or barely hit me with the knife, he would've been on the floor in seconds taking a series of quick rights to the head.

That dude wouldn't last more than 30 seconds with me in a street fight ... now or when I was a 21-year-old.

It's a shame Chapin probably didn't have a fair shot at him.

Point is, stop saying 'nobody knows what they would do in that situation'.

There are a few of us who know exactly what we would've done.
