With respect, Idaho burglary is defined as follows:
18-1401. BURGLARY DEFINED. Every person who enters any house, room, apartment, tenement, store, shop, warehouse, mill, barn, stable, outhouse, or a building, tent, vessel, vehicle, trailer, airplane, or railroad car with intent to commit any theft or any felony is guilty of burglary. Title 18 Chapter 14 Idaho Legislature Statutes

IRRC the felony burglary charge was a result of a felony being committed while inside. Because the suspect crossed a state line had nothing to do with the charge IMO.
Thank you,

Exactly. I'm pretty much over it. I just want justice for these poor victims and their families and the constant borage of info about BTK and BCK is only adding insult to injury, IMO.
I ask myself the same question--BTK has nothing to do with
this case-- so why are some people posting about that case??
I dont get it!!!

Is that a slash on his right hand? Or just something moving through the still shot?
IMO, it looks like a scratch that has healed.

I wondered about this as well. I wasn’t sure if he did the online masters (I understand his professor designed the program), but that would explain why we get so little from his peers in grad school at Desales. I don’t think we’ve had much information from people who regularly interacted with him in those last two years. Edited to note: even the associate professor comments on his writing but not on interaction.
I don't think we know if BK did a fully online program at DeSales University, or if it was just this course that was online with the professor at DeSales who spoke out about it. Maybe he took a mix of online and in-person classes. DeSales does offer a totally on-line Master's degree in Crim, IIRC, but presumably students who are enrolled for the in-person degree can also take a course that is offered in the online only program.

BTK's daughter insinuated (with absolutely no evidence besides the connection of his professor to her father) that it was highly probably that BK and her dad were in contact. Her words were far more nuanced than how the media reported it.

Car folks, 2011-2013 Elantra, is there any structural/exterior change to the model preventing us from lumping 2011-2015/2016 together?

By giving specific years, wasn't LE in effect merely asking for tips on any and all white Elantras that are about ten years old? Except for car aficionados, who is going to know a 2013 from a 2015, unless there's a huge style change or chrome enhancement!

Anyone recall SG talking about a photo and a tree and a car (or person) not in it? I daresay LE was solicitating tips from people who perhaps noted an older model Elantra parked somewhere regularly that was parked there no longer.

"It's not what's in the picture, but what's not in it."

LE did a brilliant job IMO bringing this together.

So BK is professing his innocence and his family is standing by him. This is set to be an interesting trial. Gotta say though, it is a good reminder that the presumption of innocence isn't just for HIM, its for ALL OF US.
Presumption of innocence is fine. It is expected. But this guy, BK, is smart and has studied the law. He may have committed these murders just to see if he could get by with it. The perfect murder. It’s scary because that really takes some hubris, don’t you think? Or maybe extreme stupidity? Either way your look at it, if he really is the murderer, then I don’t believe this was his first murder. Nor do i believe he was planning to kill just one victim. Whoever did this, in my opinion, isn’t just brazen, but he actually believed he could kill four people with a knife at once. And he did! That took some planning.

Does this guy have a spouse? A Family?
That would make it way more sneaky to do all this behind back

It is approx. 20 days after the crime, IMO it's not unusual for him to healed already.

20 days? He was arrested on Dec 30. So he was free all of December. 30 days. And the murders were on 13 Nov. Another 17 days, by my reckoning.

37 days total, not 20. Which is why I think there's plenty of time for minor cuts and scratches to heal. I'm still on the edge of my seat to learn just how they got a profile complete enough to do GEDMatch. BK made many critical errors. Many. If he did wash his hands at the scene, he's almost like an idiot savant.

(It's an actual term in English, borrowed from the French, first used 1870 - just so you all know I"m not trying to be rude here).

The only link I'm aware of is that Kohberger studied under a Rader expert while attending DeSales.

Even in the BE interview with Rader's daughter... there was no clear evidence that Rader and Kohberger communicated.

ETA: There could be MSM links which offer proof... I dunno.

Turns out this lady inmate was describing another prisoner, not BCK. Brian Entin of NewsNation confirmed it was misreporting.
That explains why only yellow journalism publications printed it. It’s always wise to consider the source. JMOO

Are we allowed to discuss motive?

Ancestry claims that police did not make their intentions clear in that early request.

They successfully contested each and every subsequent request and no longer allow law enforcement access to their database. Which is consistent with everything that we've heard.

GEDMatch continues to be cited by most familial DNA work.
My friend, whom LE contacted about accessing her DNA matches, confirmed that they wanted access to Ancestry. She told me she had opted-in to share with LE.
I also just scanned the TOS from ancestry regarding LE and disclosure. It seems that they will allow LE a snapshot of the last 90 days or something similar but that LE has to go through a particular process to gain that information. If you opt-in, this is irrelevant I'm guessing?

well it initially started just because it was found that Ramsland was one of his tutors. ( Later iirc, that was developed on one of the Nancy Grace shows, where guests asked if there was a connection)
Also prior to this, WSers who follow TC thought there might be some similarities with his case - wasn't he also affiliated with a university too? ( I've never delved into his case just cause the snippets I have seen look too disturbing for me)

So it sounds like they have an opt-in process similar to what Amazon implemented at RING.

If you google "Kohberger attended class..." you will find.
I could not find a single video/article/twitter/Facebook that BK attended classes at the uni during the week commencing on 14th of November (immediatelly after murders). And I searched a lot.

The following week, commencing on 21st of November, was Thanksgiving break at the WSU, no classes.

So, apparently, the first classes at the uni, which BK attended were during the week commencing on 27th of November, 2 whole weeks after the murders.

That sratement is partially confirmed by one of his students. On 27th of November BK graded his students paper works which they submitted on 6th of November!

That was shown on the video where one of his students explained the grading issue and the confrontation between BK and his class of 150 students about grading. The student presented a graded paper on which are printed dates of submission the paper and the date of its grading by BK.

The confrontation happened only few days before the murders, the stident says, and it was not nice, at all. And the professor who was mentoring BK apparently was present during that confrontation and did not interfere.

Antway, students have not seen BK for 2 weeks after murders, or at least i could not find repirrs to contrary.

I know it sounds far fetched… but when trying to consider a reason for motive that could benefit him in any way… (leaving out the possibility he did it purely because he lacks a conscience and had a desire to kill for no reason, which is still highly possible)…

But something about him… tells me he did this for a reason.

@EBW321 I really appreciated your wide-ranging post, I think it's the same kind of creative analysis that both prosecutors and defense counsel will inevitably have to be undertaking too.

If in fact it proves to be Kohberger, he most certainly "did this for a reason." Whether we will ever learn the reason is another matter entirely.

What I am looking forward to more than anything right now is for the judicial process to begin and the release of the charges. At that point we will be able to return to the realm of fact and the insane bits of fiction/fantasy that are plaguing this horrific event will subside, I truly hope.

I'm always thinking of the victims and their devastated families, but also of all the other people/entities who have been harmed by speculation and, in some cases, outright accusation. I can't wait for all that stuff to stop.
