Walked almost definitely and it was freezing and very icy. Can't have walked very far. MOO
Temps seem pretty WNL for historical data. I don't think weather was much of factor if the perp is local.

Sooo many unnecessary posts about the 911 call. IMO it is completely irrelevant. There are zero insights to be gained from it. Even if it confirms that the killer locked the door on their way out… So what?! That tells us nothing about the killer other than they are someone with the ability to turn a lock on a door.
I would also add that whatever the surviving roommates did or did not do, they were probably in SHOCK or very upset. Hence, the reason that a friend or friends called 911, instead of a roommate. Plus, young people are reticent to call 911 or to call the police and will often call parents or friends first asking what they should do.

This is ridiculous. It’s been more than two weeks. Why can’t they track their phones? There’s no way to college students went to a frat party without cell phones!!
I imagine that interviews have provided information as to where everyone was. I would be shocked if they didn’t have location services enabled on their phones, with friends knowing where they were whenever they happened to look.

I’m not saying it’s an absolute, but the college kids I know live their lives that way-they can see where everyone is which makes it easy to meet up if you find yourself nearby a friend on the map. Everybody checks periodically and then they might stop in the bar or the food place or a gathering that they happen to be near at the same time.

I don't think we know how far apart the cell towers are in that area. It may be that their cell phones pinged off the same cell tower for most of the night or possibly for the whole night. JMO.

Completely agree there. That's one unfortunate side-effect of leaks vs. all communications filtered through a "proper" channel.
What was the leak?

I don’t know if the “unconscious” is still being debated, but here’s a very recent log from Philadelphia where a woman with a “severed head” was described as “unresponsive.” (I’ve also seen several dispatches where decomposing and skeletal remains are initially reported as unconscious/unresponsive). Not sure how to link Twitter so I’ll include the news anchor’s screenshot:

Blood is what I’m thinking, If there are 2 types of blood in the girls room and if there are 3 types in E&X’s room it would seem that sample would be the killer.

Jmo
Chances are the last victim will have traces of the other three victim’s blood on them as well as (hopefully) the killer. So investigators may need to sort through and separate five different samples. I expect that could take some time.

Banfield is starting right now on News Nation, and they are spending the entire hour on this case. They are going to address the four hours and 45 minutes missing from the Ethan and Xana timeline.

The house itself being targeted is an interesting thought. Is there someone with something to gain with the house being likely unsellable and unrentable? Commercial interest? Just another possible angle. Moo

I think by saying the "house" was targeted that the "house" is a collective way of saying that this group of girls who lived in the "house" was targeted.

Could we say this was a calculated offense ? They dressed and planned what they would do ? Familiar with the home. However, not familiar with where everyone was sleeping. So, they started on the second and went to the third and then left. They targeted this location because of the house layout and location.

This! Many young people are absolutely fixated on “helicopter friends“ on text for guidance and affirmation on seemingly every decision, even for minor issues.

Did someone state that they believed the murders where quick and little time for pain ? Then, the suspect was skilled, knew exactly how they would commit the murders without startling the others.

What was the leak?
There's a Brian Entin (?) video where he claims the prosecutor said "they don't have evidence of which victim was specifically targeted, they just feel the house in general was targeted."

I"m still a bit unclear on what counts as MSM sources, so I won't link it. My opinion is that the bit about the house is poor phrasing of 3rd hand info, and that what they meant is the group as a whole were targeted. It's impossible to say for certain with the info we have though.

EDIT: Actually it occurs to me now that 'leak' was the wrong word seeing as how he claims it's directly from the prosecutor. Communicating is hard!

The group of girls living in the particular house is an easier target than the same group of girls living in another house. This would be due to security of the house, windows (ability to see in the house), surrounding location, sliding patio doors, surrounding lights etc etc.

We are all familiar with easy "burglary targets"
