We spent all of yesterday discussing this very subject.
LE needs to give him some time.
IMO, LE needs to give him some time and some answers. He and his family are likely what LE considers "going rogue" and that never had to happen. Where is the communications help for these families from LE? JMO

People w Info about Party. Speaking Up?
...
Brings me back to "what happens behind closed doors". This is a phrase many young people count on stifling info, whether in the Greek system or not. If these kids can find it in their hearts without worrying about their future, there is no reason not to speak up about the info they may have. JMO
snipped for focus.
@isabella88 Thanks for your reminder.
I hope when speaking up, it is w LE, not posting on soc media.
imo jmo moo

Her Death Certificate would have only manner and cause of death, no details.
I don’t know about the US but in Australia you get a very detailed coroners report, so much so when my brother passed in a motorbike accident, we had to remove pages from it until my mother was in the right headspace to read it.

Also wouldn’t someone have to formally identify the body? K and M’s family very close they could of spoken about what was seen if full report not ready and only death certificate issued?

When he says the means of death “don’t match”, what does that mean to others? As in more than one killer? Or different method?
My heart hurts for these families but the media is taking advantage of them, IMO.
I think the family and media are serving to keep the case in the spotlight. MOO

If LE would do just one thing, we could reduce posts by 1/3 or more.

Just tell us where Murphy was during commission of the crime & after if they know (and methinks they do).

Is there a more famous mini golden doodle? So happy he wasn't harmed.

No. Besides K giving her order & her talking to the guy taking the order, it’s next to impossible to hear what’s being said (I’m talking about K & M and separately, hoodie guy.) There are tons of social media rumors about what hoodie guy was saying after K & M left, some positive, some negative.
I also did not see him run after them; he left after they left but I don’t remember him running.
I could plainly hear her say it. The guy did leave immediately upon realizing they took off, walking quickly - not running.

Is there a press conference this week?

SG has revealed in the last few days on Fox News, New York Post, or at the vigil that the killer came in the back sliding door, K and M were sleeping in same bedroom on third floor, K had a higher degree of injuries, he thinks the police are inexperienced, questioned the quantity of evidence gathered and says he thinks the case may go cold soon. Thanks for the information on one hand because LE isn't sharing but on the other hand FBI is not inexperienced, LE has over 100 pieces of physical evidence, over 2,500 email and phone tips, and this case isn't close to being regarded as objectively cold.

I wasn't positive on this so I looked it up.

Latah County Coroner

Copies of Reports

Reports generated by Latah County Coroner´s Office are subject to public view only after the conclusion of the investigation. These reports are available upon written request, and appropriate fees are forwarded. These reports do not include protected health information and reports or documents obtained from other agencies.

-------

I guess what I'm curious to know now is if they mean investigation into cause of death? Or the investigation in it's entirety? That would mean he may have received a copy or he paid for his own but the wording in his statement sounded more on the lines of he paid for the funeral. IMO
With the exception of Florida which has some incredible pro-public access laws, in my experience, generally -- the autopsy report is not available until after the Coroner/Medical Examiner testifies (at the criminal trial).

ETA: Depends on the laws of the State/County

I found a reporter stating this information that K's injuries were more brutal came from the Special Report they did on News Nation on Sunday, Dec 4, 2022. Here's the reporter, he says it at :43.

Here at about 26 minutes in the NN Special Report, Brian Entin says they have new information they confirmed just before the show today and it is that K's wounds were more brutal. He never says who he got the information from, HOWEVER,unless it was a leak from LE, SC had access to his daughter's body and to M's mom who could have gotten the information about the state her daughter was in and they could have easily compared notes. IMO SC leaked this information to BE, BUT as a reporter, BE does not have to give his sources. In BE's shoes, I'd be darn certain that my source gave me correct information before I revealed something like this:
I'm still not sure that this means much. Maybe K was killed first. The killer is working with a finite amount of energy. It might be a key detail, but it might not be. Until LE gives us the rest of the story, we just don't know its significance. MOO

2 girls on the bottom floor... D and B
Xana on the first floor with an empty bedroom.
Maddie and Kaylee on the top floor.
The 6th roomate had the empty room on the second floor but she left at the beginning of the school year.

Imo
Got it! Thanks :)

edited to apologize for the extra quote above, please disregard.

If I recall correctly, a redacted version is available in Ohio, upon request from media. And unredacted was available to media until about 6.5 years ago, available to media. IMOO So there may be some information available to the press??

Oh, I suspect they do. SG has said as much. I expect a gag order coming soon before someone gets hurt by the dropping of names and suspicions that are not supported by LE or the evidence they currently possess. This is becoming dangerous, and needs to stop, IMO.
As much as they might sometimes love to, at this point in an investigation they can’t put a gag order on family members —1st amendment rights and all. Later on, once a case is in court the Judge can put a gag order on certain parties, like LE and attorneys. Even then, I’m not sure if that power extends to family members. Hoping some of our attorney WSers can clarify.

<modsnip - sleuthing a person not named POI by LE>

As for speculation there is possible tension between the families, K’s family as we know are extremely vocal, the other families might be more private and or frustrated that what is being said may hinder the investigation, so they want no part in it, need to grieve their own way.

There even seems to be tension in K’s family with her mother trying to stop SG from saying certain things.

What we don't know is how K and M's injuries compare to E and X's injuries. We still don't know whose were the very worst. Also they were in M's room. In the dark, I'm not sure it would be all that easy to tell the two apart.

The families of the Delphi murder victims were just put under a gag order last week. No trial yet.

Anyone with a better memory recall it mentioned, via one of Xana’s parents, saying she and Ethan were at home watching a movie at approximately midnight? LE looks like they’re looking for information which has them not at her residence at this time. This could be chalked up to miscommunication, or a harmless mistruth to a parent (which we’re all guilty of; no shaming).

Yes, her father said that at one point.

From the 12/5/22 Moscow Police Dept Update:

• There have been numerous requests about the dog found at the residence on the morning of November 13th. Arriving officers entered the residence and found the deceased victims. During the search of the home, a dog was found in a room where the crimes had not been committed. Officers did not find any evidence on the dog and there was no indication the animal had entered the crime scene. The dog was taken to Animal Services and released to a responsible person. While the dog was in the house when officers arrived, it has not been determined where the dog was physically located when the murders took place.

Me too. Not only did he not kill the dog, he may have taken the time to seclude the dog and keep it away from the crime scene (by possibly putting Murphy in another room.) I think this could be a hint about the perp and an indication that he isn’t a random serial killer.

I find it hard to believe that the dog wasn’t physically with Kaylee and Maddie that night. We know that Murphy was taken out when the girls came home (as per the Ring video discovered by Kaylee’s sister.) I believe Murphy was hanging with the 3rd floor girls throughout the night.

I also think the dog’s breed could explain his potential behavior. I know several “doodles” and in my experience they are typically calm, friendly, non-barkers. This includes when non-residents enter a house when the residents/owners are not present. They are known for their temperaments and for being great with kids. They are not known for being guard dogs or even “alerters.”

JMO but I feel the details surrounding the dog - being unharmed and secluded - could be telling in regards to the killer.
Chris Watts spared their dog too.
