I can understand it.

This is a mass murder.

Normally peaceful town that just doesn't have stuff like this happen.

I think they just need the extra manpower and expertise.

I'm new to this...was looking at the Moscow PD Daily incident reports for the days and weeks before 11/13. Did the police ever comment on this report in the area of Kings Road a week before the incident?

I have no financial interest am just old plumber who found this security system that speaks for itself. research this. May buy for 3 kids and self and pop the 400 a month....https://www.deepsentinel.com/
You will still need to add the door and window wedges to this monitored video surveillance system. Police response time takes several minutes, generally, and depending on staffing and other events, it can be much longer.

Agree with diggindeeperstill

A lot of suspicious reports in this area...

Completely agree with this. As I posted before, my questions are:

1) What exactly made them think it’s a Ka-Bar. Are they just using that as a general for “long, relatively thin knife,” or was there more specific evidence, like a sheath, something specific in the patterns of the wounds indicating the shape of a quillion/guard, etc.
Snipped for focus

I guess it was maybe the first two weeks of this case I kept thinking and questioning this exact same question ('cept I followed it with 'why in the world do they think it's a recent purchase...?').

The only answer appeasing my mind is a tenant POSSIBLY pulled a Libby German and snapped a pic, if only even a shimmering glint. Props to tenant if that's the case. Haven't viewed much of their SM, but apparently their SM presence is quite pronounced, to my understanding. With that being the case pushing that camera button is likely second-nature to them, even in traumatic situations?

One can ask 'well, why not call 911?' And my best response is - well, during a traumatic instance in my life it took me ten-minutes to figure out how to dial a number already stored in a phone I had already been using the previous two years. Didn't necessarily need 911 at that moment. There's no telling how our brains are gonna react in a given situation.

All just my opinion, experience, and speculation.

I just wanted to take a moment and remind everyone that the occupant(s) of the white car may only be witnesses and not the killer. If they have no info to add, the white car may lead to a dead end. Imo.

Was it you who posted about door wedges being the number one recommended safety device (to prevent home intrusion)?

I just want to thank you or the person that posted that advice. I didn’t know it, hadn’t considered it but now I’m looking at the options for my doors and windows. It’s very simple and inexpensive.
I bought them yesterday and they’ve already arrived!

Question, i see where to report tips, but would you submit potential harassment to that email as well or? Who would you report videos of someone claiming someone is the killer as fact? Not speculation

The white vehicle I was referring to is a truck not a car

Does anyone know if Kaylee worked part time in Moscow while in college?

I know at the time of the murders she was living at home and about to move to Texas.

I'm just thinking if she had a stalker he would go to her place of work to observe her or interact with her.

I know that Xana and Maddie worked at the Greek place.

Maybe he saw her at the Corner Club and went to their house with a sexual motive.

Highly visible case, and some uncertainty as to what they have on their hands. Could be very worried about the perp escalating their activity, especially if the motive is to create fear and chaos. The only other thought is that the case is complex and the FBI's help and expertise is needed. All MOO.
I think also the proximity to other state / country borders. Having the FBI involved opens up jurisdictions I think.

Cops in Idaho murder case threaten sleuths with 'criminal charges'

'We want people to pay attention to what we're putting out there because that is accurate information, and anything that comes from other sources is either rumor or speculation,' Fry said.

Following his statement, the police department said: 'Anyone engaging in threats or harassment whether in person, online or otherwise needs to understand that they could be subjecting themselves to criminal charges.

'Moscow Police Department cautions the public not to rely on rumors and remains committed to keeping the public informed. We urge reliance on official channels for accurate information.'

Is anyone else curious how they define “online” harassment? Would Kaylee’s father and mother saying that they cleared people too quickly be considered harassment? Are they trying to shut down all online discussion of this case?

yes indeed - bought a brass system already that blocks door being kicked in---according to this company- the police MUST respond at once due to being an "active" burglary call, where they say others report after the fact and police can "get to it later", simple safe kinda walked around that statement---not sure though -what they claim...then there is response time...thing is it has a speaker where a live guard says "you in the bue hoodie, put the package down -the police are on the way and we have your picture.." or words to that effect...the artifical intelligence computer that the camera is hooked to somehow can tell a threat and the live guards are triggered---facinating---youtube reviews are endorsing this as well so did a little research---value for money ($100) a month ) has me at a pause---not millionaire and need 4 to do for all kids and self.

Just wanted to thank you for your amazing post on neighbor wars (last thread). I wish you would repost it here near the top of this one. It adds an angle to this crime that is worthy of consideration, truly.
Several years ago in the area where I live, a neighbor killed a neighbor. The neighbor thought the other neighbor was moving the property line. The one neighbor finally had enough, and he shot the other neighbors and then killed himself. That feud had gone on for a few years.

Imo, it is is toward the extreme sleuther who dox innocent people. There have been some who have harassed people in town. Even showing up at their homes and one was spit on. The police don't need to deal with this right now, and someone is going to get hurt. Imo.

We had a neighbor who gradually changed the property line (it was my parents' house). No one thought they were doing it on purpose - the way the property had been laid out would make any new owner think they owned their whole driveway (but the property line went up the middle). My parents decided just to let it go (kind of irritated me, but now, it's so far in the rearview mirror, I just don't care.

But neighbor wars and neighbor diplomacy are both real things. I would be very interested to know more about the neighborhood of 1122 King (not just the crime calls, but the overall mixture of who lives right there). Not that there's any evidence that neighbors are involved in this crime, but I'm curious what neighbors might know about the house (since the house is targeted).

I think he means believe what is being released by MPD and don't go off on your own and mess with people you (not you personally) speculate may have something to do with this this mass murder. Don't believe everything you hear or read online. I do think he would like for the criticism of the handling of the investigation to abate but in the long run I think he's adult and professional enough to let it slide without deeming it harassment.
