They have been very vocal that the occupant(s) of this vehicle have important information. I does not seem to be any sort of "hail mary" claim.

Today's video they released from Captain Lanier he makes note of "patterns" they noticed, and that led them to believe the people in that vehicle know something critical.
Could be that the killer had already finished his work at 1122 King and called someone to come pick him up. If the killer sounded desperate for help, the person may have been speeding towards the area of the house to rendezvous.

I was wondering that also when we look at the videos of these white cars driving around even that night, the night of the murders, did somebody drop the murderer off? Just my opinion.

Replying to myself. Patterns, I wonder if that means this car was circling the block, must’ve been something that tweaked the interest of the police. Just my opinion.

Yes... to me as well, this is a mistake. All families should have been asked before the public announcement. And all neighbors too.

But I do remain questioning the White Hyundai. Are there millions of these?
Though it is a daunting task, I would think that there are ways to get all that data relatively quickly. Am i really naive on this one???
I also wonder if LE is 100% sure its a Hyundai Elantra or rather a "white sedan" as some articles stated originally. I hope they wouldn't be that specific if they weren't absolutely sure.

Hmmm ... Or perhaps the car frequently visited the house?

Re: Google street view - the online map photos are are collection of photos taken over the past decade (or even longer). Occasionally, the “view” changes years as you move down a street. It cannot be used to effectively search an area because it’s not current or consistent, though it’s useful for generally seeing what an area looks like.

Oh I'm glad you got my post, except I'm mystified what exactly "no forced entry" means. Does that mean like nothing broken, or a door was not locked, or a person was invited there?
It means the door showed no damage due to forcing a locked door open.

Any time you communicate with a public agency, you may ask if you may be anonymous in your report. No name, #, etc. The online reporting will most likely require a contact # to confirm information. With an anonymous request, a typical response is, "We will add that to our records, Thank you" or "We will get someone out to that location as soon as possible." Once an action is recorded in the public security database with your name and phone contact, it becomes a matter of public record. So, that is the transparency that allows the public oversite of our public institutions.
I have a tip to a case that was in the news some what nationally and I did so online. I gave info that I came across while snooping. They did not contact me, but within 45 minutes they were searching an area associated with the tip. I almost had a coronary! Needless to say it turned up nothing, but they do follow up but dont always tell you what’s going on.

I'd love to know the number of local white Hyundai owners who actually called LE to expedite clearing themselves. JMO
I was about to say the same thing!!! If you were innocent, would you want to bring yourself forward to clear your name, or would you want to sit back and wait for LE to come to you as you know even if you are innocent, you will be harassed and ridiculed by the public if they find out you are being questioned or talked to… if you are guilty, do you sit back and wait for them to find you and question you or do you jump on the opportunity to make yourself not look guilty?

IMO The Police Captain is excellent at communicating and has great demeanor. In way over his head, but seems very honorable. He said previously, that some young officers responded to the scene. I couldn't imagine what they saw, and Hope they can heal.

Hope the killer is found soon.

I think they do considering they had been pulling videos at day 1 of the investigation. I'm sure they saw it on multiple videos around that same time. I think they are having problems tracking it down and that's why they are asking for the public's help. JMO

IIRC, the Captain mentioned patterns of leads, tips. So likely a number of tips about the white Hyundai being in the vicinity of the murders, and who know what other details provided by more than one lead/tip. Time location, etc.

Oh my gosh...you're a super snooper...lol
And how reassuring that they looked into it so quickly. Wow!!

I am not sure how this works but it's interesting to watch !

This was what I was heavily considering. Also the possibility that another owner of a car with that description would be super shady, even if they had nothing to do with it, and send LE toward a dead end. Deep sigh. So many possibilities. JMO

Was that specific to this case?
