They said there were 22,000 Elantras that they could be sifting through. But I don’t recall them ever saying where they were saying those potentially were - do you have info on that, or were you assuming it was Idaho?

I’ve been curious about this - 22K seems like a lot - I assume that’s, at a minimum, the entire PNW.
I may have read it wrong to be Idaho only but as of 2016 there were 605,599 registered private vehicles in the State of Idaho. Even using those stats, which likely have grown in six years the 22K figure is only 3% of all registered vehicles in the state. Or perhaps we're both right in that it's Idaho and areas of eastern Washington & Oregon?

LE did say 22k Elantras in ID and WA.

The No plates part is interesting. As is one of the students (Maddie?) was born in Eugene Oregon per a previous post. I feel like they are onto something.

In the mid-size Midwestern city where I live, car theft is a constant. But it’s not so much about chop shops, car-jackings, etc., as it is joy-riding. That became a real thing during the first year of Covid, with shelter-in-place orders leaving the streets nearly empty, and now it's commonplace. Joy-riders heist vehicles and race around until they run out of fuel, get spooked by something or just plain crash, sometimes resulting in death. Wrecked cars, some with plates, some without, have become part of the ordinary scenery here.

First thing I thought of when I saw the photos of the white Elantra in Eugene, much as I would love to believe it’s precisely the car LE have been seeking.

Hello. I've not got a lot to share, mostly a lurker, but, The Corner Club was featured in Sports Illustrated a few years ago, if anyone is interested.

Finding America's Best Sports Bars - Corner Club
Great find! This article gives us a better understanding of the Corner Club (dive bar), especially with the photos of the college students who frequent the bar after 9 p.m. Great stories about "The Nail."

I’m guessing that once the MPD determines they have taken all the samples they need from inside and they release the house back to the owner, the owner could then do what they wish as far as allowing someone exclusive access to photograph it, clean it, gut it, tear it down…. Maybe it will be up to their insurance company what happens to it once released.
The house is listed for rent online - must be an ongoing listing that hasn't been updated:

Agreed on the find. Looks like every small town bar in a college town across the US. I can see why it would be a popular student hangout.

I try to read every page, but sometimes I can’t. Is this the forum where a 338 a.m. scream was discussed, scream heard and reported to police and that might have spared the two on the first floor? If not my apologies.

There are companies that specialize in respectfully cleaning crime scenes and returning them to the families. If anyone is interested, there was an episode of the podcast Criminal many years ago that interviewed the owner of one company. Once a house is cleared after a murder, a suicide, suspicious death, they come in and they are the people that will rip up the carpet, repaint, eliminate anything that could be upsetting for the family. I thought it was a very kind service and I never knew it existed before the show.

Whatever the reason for the breakup between Kaylee and JD, it appears that Kaylee was ambivalent about it based on the interview early on with her family. While she was staying with her family before her visit back to Moscow in mid-November, her family describe Kaylee's attempts to reach out to JD in the hopes that he would get together with her. According to her family, she made numerous attempts to engage with JD during that period. There is also the "drunk dialing" calls made to JD during the early morning hours of November 13th.

It may have been JD who was breaking away, for all we know.
But that's all from her mother's perspective, who seems very invested in the relationship. Yet some of his comments on her IG page and her activities seem to contradict the nature of the relationship as mom described.
Thing is, kids , no matter how close, never tell their parents what's going on! So no body really knows at this point what the true status of their relationship was

Ok I saw this as well but didn’t think there was any animosity shown towards EC. I think he was a young man told not to interact with the media who was ambushed by them on his way to class.
kid was just murdered and all u can muster is he was always here. Shows they weren't friends even tho hes good friends w X. Weird interview

When I saw that interview I wondered about Kelsey Berreth's mother's interview. That they were "working things out", obviously coached by LE to not scare the boyfriend that turned out to be the killer. Though the parents voice support of JD and the affection they showed during the Celebration of Life. Curious.

Security is sitting in the car in front of the house 24/7.

Yes I'm aware of that, previous Entin interviews there were two security guard cars in the driveway next to the house. They were not in this last interview we're discussing. Did you see security in that interview of topic?

edited for clarity

curious about this too but since KG was moving to TX for a new job- a lot of distance. IMO Maybe the job was too good to pass up. IMO.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Ethan was a freshman, meaning this guy would have only known him less than 3 months (assuming school and rush start in late August/early September), whereas Xana was a junior, meaning he could have known her for a little over two years. Most of the time a fraternity or sorority president is at least a junior in college, so my guess is he probably didn't really know Ethan all that well + was a bit blindsided by being approached by a reporter while trying to go to class. Bearing these things in mind, I don't really find anything to be odd about the interview or what he said. JMO

That looks like a reflection to me rather than a punched out window. JMO
It does look like the passenger side window is broken. Also air bags did not deploy. Maybe vehicle was going too slow upon impact - of course just my opinion.

Thought he seemed a little different, certainly does not want to be involved.
