What a generous and thoughtful way to give of your time

I know many of us are dog lovers so for you and everyone I share this story I found. I don't know if it's been posted elsewhere but I know it will bring smiles and a warm heart to all.

Mods, if too OT please delete with my apology.
Dogs are amazing. I can just picture Murphy being so relieved to see his/her bed. And the owners being so relieved to see Murphy.

Just curious -- in your research did you find out if the $2500 is to hire just one searcher and a cadaver dog, or a whole team of searchers and dogs? Is Harry Oakes involved? Do you know how many days the search is planned for and what the distance is that will be searched?
If little Deorr is out there, I hope they are able to find him.

Things also get confusing when there are multiple "places of interest". In this case, they are in two different main "places of interest" and they are also in different counties 2 hours apart. They are the campsite and DeOrr Jr.'s home. There are also multiple agencies involved and miscommunication is common. I hope that for the sake of DeOrr Jr. LE was very meticulous while collecting and obtaining information, getting warrants before searching, etc. The more that comes out in the media makes the first articles have incorrect information. It's bizarre.
It could be that LE and the press got the whole thing wrong and the parents actually relayed that they left their home and arrived at the campground on Thurs. But, is it an impossibility that the parents said they left IF and arrived at the campsite on Fri? I am thinking it's 50/50. I have no dog in this fight, but I am not sure why the automatic assumption is an ineptitude of either LE or Nate--or both--when there is literally nothing pointing in that direction.
Agreed , they arrived at the campsite on Thursday , but they also arrived at the campsite on Friday after the trip to the store . Both are correct when taken in context.
Then somebody on Social Media made a Monster out of the "perceived" contradiction
And that monster is still stomping around.
Who would harm us this way? (JM says in the initial interview.). It sounded like an odd question to me in their interview. Who would harm US? (US-- being, presumably the parents. Where is question of Deorr's whereabouts or well-being?). "THIS WAY" (by taking Deorr, as opposed to hurting them in another way?). IMO that sounds like a potentially known abductor might've taken Deorr. If the parents believe it is in fact an abduction, are they truly thinking it was a random abduction?
On this train of thought, why did they hire the private investigator? Wouldn't his resources generally consist of those already exhausted by LE? Because if this was a random abduction...I would think fliers and media attention for his safe return would be EVERYWHERE. I would think that would be a lot better odds of finding him than by one single man alone looking for a needle in a haystack. What if it was an abduction by someone that JM and Deorr Sr knew? And that they really know or suspect who took him, and if they were involved, wouldn't want LE to know if there was something "big" enough that had gone on that they don't want LE knowing about. I think if this is the case, then they're expecting him to return to them alive at some point. That could account for what I got from the interview...a very nervous father who barely mentions his son, and a mother who looked tired, defeated...but not terrified. Yes, I know, everyone reacts differently. I still think that they could've been delving in the dark underworld of drugs and something went horribly wrong.
Then again, I took Ambien a half hour ago, so I am the one on drugs right now. I hope I'm at least getting my point across. My point being I don't know jack, but I have an active imagination.

The date of arrival was not bad reporting and the correct date was not corrected until over a month later, Aug. 12th despite a number of interviews from LE in the press. Personally, I am not going to make any assumptions or excuses for this huge error, it is what is.
From the Uncut video transcript (Aug 12):
Sheriff Bowerman:
“Well, the family, from what I understand, that we learned during the investigation arrived the evening prior to July 10th, sometime fairly close to dark on Thursday, July 9th..."
http://www.eastidahonews.com/2015/08/lemhi-sheriff-opens-up-about-deorr-kunz-case/ Article underneath (updated Aug. 18th)
"Authorities had said the group arrived Friday, July 10,.."
IMO there are two more places of interest - GGP's home and IR's home.
Why GGP's home? I don't get it.
I think you are implying that maybe something happened to Deorr before they left for camp? Totally guessing here. But they lived with baby Deorr's paternal grandpa, not the maternal GGP (the one on the camping trip).
Maybe I'm not understanding.
Edit: Ok, sorry I reread your post which included IR. Scratch what I posted above. Are you saying there would be clues as to what happened to him at their homes? They brought back some evidence to their home?
U
What I'm saying is all POIs would/should have their homes searched. Evidence prior to or evidence after - anything is possible.
I may just be imagining it but I thought a recent article/report stated that the homes and vehicles of all POI had been searched. I believe the parents had their home and vehicles searched more than once, if I'm not mistaken.
