I'm not so sure. They had dogs out, and they searched the area TWICE already. She was found. This was a field, in the middle of civilization, not a forest, and they missed her TWICE.

I've seen it time and again, they get found right where LE said they searched exhaustively. That's why I have learned to not point fingers without any facts, I didn't always practice that but I've learned.

I think even searching thoroughly for a moving target is difficult. If Deorr wandered away then he may have still been moving those first couple of days after he went missing. I would think researching in a shoulder to shoulder grid format now might turn up different results as it's quite unlikely he survived longer than a couple of days if he did wander away.

I agree that it's possible that Deorr could be out in the wilderness somewhere (especially wearing camo) but I do not understand why there seems to be no searching for him? Every attempt at organizing a search team has been cancelled or called off. It seems no one is too interested (or allowed?) in continuing to look for him up there, at least as far as I can tell. Maybe LE and/or the FBI are searching up there? It seems like more large-scale searching could turn up something - even if it's just a boot or toy car, it could be a major clue. I'm just so baffled with this case. At this point, I assume the staring man is no longer a lead. Would it be too hard for the PI to make a short statement telling the public to lay off looking for the curly haired guy in the Rubicon? What's the point of going on the news and the radio and making a big fuss about this guy and then just dropping it? Nothing makes sense in this case.

I don't know. The family just added new items to their online shop, though, so I thought maybe they are planning to use the money to do more searches?

Good news about the documentary! Pretty ironic that it's the interest in the case on social media that got the documentary makers interested, though!

I just hope the documentary makers aren't those Bigfoot enthusiasts, though...

Authorities said Tuesday they believe a toddler who vanished on a mountain hike 3½ years ago was attacked by an animal, probably a mountain lion.

Three-year-old Jaryd Atadero's clothing was found last Thursday in rugged terrain not far from where he disappeared, said Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden.

Jaryd's fleece pullover, tattered pants and shoes were found in the Comanche Peak Wilderness Area west of Fort Collins, several hundred feet above the trail where he disappeared on Oct. 2, 1999. He was on a hiking trip that day with a church group, and had been running ahead.

...Searchers spent six days in the area after Jaryd vanished but found nothing.

I could be wrong but I just don't get the feeling that IR did anything to Deorr.

If he did, I would think that DK & JM would be speaking about him every chance they got.

I'm a bit surprised to hear that Jessica will speak on camera after watching the last interview with the parents. Wonder what changed?

I wonder if that is great grandpa that was camping with the family in the photo on this page, the man with the grey hair and beard. If it is maybe he will be included in this documentary and share what he remembers. I think its a good idea for the family (probably a comfortable venue) for them to get their story out. I hope it is actually released quickly, making a film can take some time and its always possible that someone watching this film will have information and come forward. jmo.

Maybe the filmmakers gave her editorial approval. That's something that I don't think most news sources would do, but agreements like that are not unusual for other creative endeavors in which the creators are trying to get participation. Just a possibility that might make her feel more comfortable if she could be sure the family would be positively represented.

One of the most confusing issues in a few cases recently is how people are related...

I think the man in that picture is Deorr Sr' dad. It was (I think!) Jessica's GF that went camping i.e. baby Deorr's GGP. Probably!

That is not the grandpa (Jessica's grandpa - Robert Walton) that went camping. That is DK's father, who also shares his name. I kind of think that too. Unless LE has told them to keep quiet, but even then it seems like something would have slipped out by now.

IMO, the ONLY four people they need to interview is DK, JM, IR and GGP.

NOT DK's sister, not his father and not two family friends.
