A couple of thoughts floating around this morning ...
- Documentary, or intell gathering exercise? Any independent film crew would want their name out there, no? Has anyone seen a name attached to this company/producer/filmmaker? Too far-fetched? If not, would FBI be interested in those interviews and the footage? Why, why not?

- Paraphrasing: The FBI report will be critical; Sheriff will approve a private search but not till the critical FBI report is in. Sheriff pulls support of the search. Why? Why does the Sheriff care if people want to have a search? It isn't a closed off "crime scene", anyone can go there at any time. So, what is this about? Liability is the only thing I can come up with and I'm not happy with that.
Or was the whole Sheriff-endorsed search even a real thing? I'll have to go back and look for the sources on that, maybe it was just noise that gained legs.
Coffee anyone?

We know (or we think we know) who the film crew is, but I don't think we're allowed to say because it hasn't been in MSM. If we're right, it's an "unexplained mysteries" kind of documentary about people who go missing and are never seen alive again.

The yet-to-be-titled documentary will feature several other cases of missing American children dating as far back as the 1950’s. It will include in-depth interviews with those close to the Jaryd Atadero case, a three-year-old who vanished from a campground in the Comanche Peak Wilderness Area of Colorado in 1999.

Yup, I totally get that and I agree with what\who we suspect is doing the documentary. Just thoughts that popped up.

I haven't seen anything in MSM about the sheriff calling off volunteer searches... It may well just be a rumour.

I think that Deorr's parents are open to being interviewed for this documentary because it's been made very clear that it will completely focus on someone or something taking Deorr. An interview with a regular news outlet could be accompanied by the headline "Parents claim son was abducted, Sheriff says no sign of abduction".

Here is why I don't get: WHY are they including interviews with DK's father, DK's sister and two family friends????

They were NOT at the campsite so what possible information could they give that would be usedful??? unless it's to vouch for DK & JM and how they could never hurt litle deorr, what good/great parents they are etc.

jmo.

That would answer a question I've had, what is the parents' purpose in doing this documentary?
Will it be released immediately, or in the near future? Will it be released for free to the general public? Will it be shown to a wide audience soon?

I wonder if they're getting paid?

A regular news reporter would also ask them the questions that so far they have never answered (because NE didn't ask anything too pertinent). A regular news reporter would ask about the specific details of their camping trip and try to get straight answers regarding the timeline and trip(s) into Leadore, the store sighting, etc. They might also ask questions about Deorr, like why he was bawling at the store and exactly what he was doing and where he was when they last saw him. They might also ask if they had a verbal agreement with great-grandpa about watching Deorr. The list goes on (yes, I like making lists...). It's been three months and they don't seem interested in providing any real information or making any pleas to help find their son. Not sure if that's their choice or if they're following the advice of someone, but in my opinion it only adds to (or even causes) the public's frustration and sends SM into a frenzy of accusations against them. This can't come as a surprise. People just want to help them find their son. The shroud of secrecy and the lack of urgency in finding their son makes people feel like they are hiding something. MOO.

At the bottom of the article it reads, "those people who were interviewed for the documentary were not paid to participate."

I can't imagine much, if anything. Docs are usually shot on shoestring budgets and they are not SAG actors. They might get paid a day rate for the time they spent, but I would be surprised if the whole thing equaled more than $1k per person. But I could totally be wrong!

This is what the article says:
Those interviewed for the documentary were not paid to participate. Completion and release dates for the documentary haven’t been released.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Thank you!

I was just reading this article about another missing now found child & thought I would post this quote to show LE can & sometimes do release poly statements.

Investigators confirmed that they gave polygraph tests to the family members and that the tests raised no red flags.

No signs of criminal activity have been found, and Peterson's family passed lie detector tests.

It would be so easy for the Sheriff to say something like this to take the heat/pressure off the 4 PIs if they are so solid, etc. yet they haven't.

Could someone refresh my memory, what time on Thursday the 9th did they arrive at the campground?

This is what I have been/am still hoping for. Given the scrutiny, it would be great if the FBI or sheriff would say something as clear as this about the POI's after the FBI's 2-month long investigation, if they are in the position to do so, of course.

Yeah, I think that at least one person didn't pass and LE doesn't want the public to know. I don't think it means much though, since polygraphs are so unreliable.

I think it would only really matter if that person was also suspected of (or found to be) holding back info, misleading or lying.

I would hope they would at least release if anybody passed.
