I am so sorry to bring up the cremains again, but I have a few comments and a question:
This area is National Forest land, not National Park land. Rules are very different, less strict in the National Forest.
I would love to be scattered in a beautiful place when I am gone and this area is remote, so I don't think the location is odd at all but I do think the coincidental timing is.
Question: Can cremains be tested for DNA? It seems like a very obvious thing to do -- it doesn't clear anyone from suspect timing or misleading the search, but it seems like if it can be done, perhaps it should. Seems like there was a Columbo where some cremains were 'swapped out' with those of a murder victim.
