You are right. My point is not being made well. I think the clerk saw another child at 6 pm. I do not think she got the time wrong. For her to have gotten the time wrong, then the baby would have had to be filthy and bawling at noon while being googly eyed by an old man. Mom's reaction to 'filthy,bawling' tells me he was neither at noon.

I have no doubt that when shown a photo of baby DeOrr, she realized that her 6 pm sighting was not him.

Just my opinion, yours may differ.

6.) Polys? Mom and dad - LE will not leak the results. IR - maybe.

When did the family leave ID Falls and when did they arrive in the Timber Creek area? Not that specific campsite or even that specific campground. Iow, they can say they arrived at that particular site on Friday morning, but that doesn't mean they didn't drive out there the night before and sleep on the side of the road even outside of the campground or a different campsite. Kwim?

Hey, Beezneez! I'm a local, but from Boise. Please ask the broadcaster why they think local Boise news really never reported on the story after the first week? I always thought that to be very strange. I mean, a 2 year old Idaho child vanishes and abduction is not suspected by LE and my local news only reports on it maybe twice with no updates since? Very strange. You'd think some investigative reporter would like to grab on to this story and get to the bottom of it.

Could it be because Boise is almost 5 hours away, and they don't consider it local news? Perhaps I have a different view of what 5 hours away is since I live in the NE where it's a lot of small states, but very few stories from 5 hours from where I live would make it on my local news (only ones of national interest).

So you really do think that they actually arrived on Thursday night. I've really tried not to go there, but if they did, why would they leave that tid bit of information out? For what reason wouldn't they just say it?

Boise is the capital and Idaho isn't a very big state people-wise. I'm surprised at the lack of news coverage as well. Honestly, two year olds don't go missing here all that often. Boise news generally covers big stories from all around the state. Right now, for example, there are numerous fires burning in Idaho and the news doesn't just focus on the one closest to Boise, but on all the fires. I do find the lack of coverage on Deorr a little odd. However, it seems like there is little to add. There is never any new information released so it would basically just be repetitive, I suppose....

The PI indicated they arrived Thurs night. <modsnip> Did the parents ever say otherwise? If that's what LE thought and the media was reporting, I definitely would assume that parents would want to clear up that fact as it could only help for accurate info to be out there.

ETA: the parents haven't really said anything, so there are lots of info holes to fill. This is just one. But as long as they didn't specifically say they arrived Fri and not Thurs, my suspicion level doesn't go UP. Does it for you? I do think I am missing some info, so feel free to correct me.

The vastness of Idaho really throws people. I am in Pocatello & a regular outdoorsy person. If you drove straight into wilderness for an hour or two in most places, you would be pretty far off. Here, well, not really. The idea of the front vs. back country gets a little blurred. Vault toilets, vehicle access, as well as a place to get fries & a shower within 45 minutes isn't true
back country, but we're just spoiled!

IMO, I would add a "Gentle Reminder" at the bottom and include the post by Bessie that any information obtained by a reporter must be run by a mod before posting in the thread so we don't cause Bessie/WS any unnecessary headaches/work/snipping/thread shutdowns... JMO
