In the past I've seen people reading live tweets on YT for trials that are not streamed. You could try searching YT to see if anyone is doing that.
Thanks but I also expected someone to cover by texting on YT and no one seems to be doing that. Surprising

In your opinion, what did Lori do at the temple for eight hours a day, almost daily, if she didn't work there?
Well, 'work' is what everyone does in the temple.

And the majority work is proxy work for people who have died. So, standing as a proxy, in ceremonies like baptism, confirmation, marriage, sealing, endowment.

For an example - one of the main ceremonies done in the temple takes an hour. And that has to be done, individually, for every couple. So, say you do your family history, and your great grandparents had six kids, and they all got married and had babies, but none of them were church members in their life. Every single person needs to be baptised and confirmed by proxy (which is quick), but the marriages, sealings and endowments take a LOT LOT longer. So it would take a day just to do the work for a fraction of those family members.

It's called a temple recommend, not remand.

You don't go to a temple just to pray; it isn't a church, it's a building for certain specific ceremonies and ordinances, and you don't do them on your own, you're with a group of people. It's a place for ritual, not a place for private contemplation and communion with god.

Source: I was BIC (born in church), attended church and other church activities regularly until I turned eighteen (including going to the Temple multiple times to do the Temple work that teenagers can do), and the vast majority of my immediate family are still active members. My mum, who I live with, went to the Temple twice this week, because it's Easter school holidays, so she has the time she doesn't usually. (She's a fulltime school teacher.)

It fascinates me the range of experiences people have with their membership in the LDS church.
I really appreciate your posts, and (thread topic relevant) posts from all LDS people.

I thought they ruled Larry Woodcock was not a victim and couldn't be in the courtroom? I thought the main premise was that the state failed to file appropriate paperwork. Did I simply read everything wrong. I didn't spend much time on it so good possibility

He can watch opening statements and other non-testimony procedures even if he is on the witness list

Also my fear that people very close to the case like him would have to do the registration to get a seat in the room was wrong. He can sit and, if on the witness list, be asked to step out during testimony.

you got it wrong he can watch the proceedings after he finishes his testimony not openings and first witnesses

If I understood Boyce’s ruling, he can be in the courtroom for opening statements, just not live testimony from witnesses. Then after he testifies he can stay in the courtroom.

Apparently he was on the witness list only for the sentencing phase, but that will not be needed any more since the DP has been taken off the table. Source: Gigi from Pretty Lies & Alibis, who is a correspondent for the Law and Crime Network.

I don't think I've ever seen a trial start on time.

It is so irritating to not have live stream. I enjoy being able to listen to the trial if I'm busy with other things. Now I have to refresh, refresh, refresh all day long and actually stop and read what's happening......

Same here. :( It's frustrating.

I'm multi-tasking this morning. Watching the Leticia Stauch trial and following the Lori Vallow trial on here and on Twitter.
