I have wondered about that too, but I mean before the arrest they had just been in Hawaii. It's pretty hard to spend 275k ish? What the hell did they spend money on? they had rent a center furniture. The hotels were nice, but Im still not seeing it. I think they hid some. I would laugh though if they just bought thousands of tents for their tent city. His house isn't worth much either and has a mortgage. I think it's something like 150k in mortgage and valued at 250k or something. I mean 100k in equity is nice, but that doesnt make it accessible. It's hard to refi when you're in jail probably. I've never refinanced but I'm guessing they ask for your income and a higher repayment doesnt look great if youre in jail and can't even bond out due to lack of funds. And the 250k valuation was before murdered children were found buried on it.

As I type this, according to CD and LV the world will end in eleven days so maybe they were budgeting the money so they could live the good life for the last ten months on this earth. After that, who cares?

So weird. Since my last search, I can’t find anything. Can’t even find the William and Gail arnardo. Can’t find Gail AT ALL any more. The only new slight LDS connection left I can find is on a Facebook page. Someone was talking about the terrible food and terrible service because all of the employees were gathered around one table swapping stories about their mission experiences. The newly-released court docs show the LV/CV household was characterized by a LOT of drama and conflict. Not sure this as ever the best environment for a special needs child.

I'm sure those documents and findings were never considered during the adoption process. Probably because it was a kinship adoption, maybe less stringent requirements? Also, the adoption may have happened in LA vs TX, making one further step away from connecting the dots. Moo.

I know he was dead for a while before being found so there would have been substantial decomp. I also know he was cremated. What I’m wondering is if any tissue samples were kept? Thank you! I find the search feature here is sometimes wonky and I couldn’t locate it.

They did take tissue samples from liver and thigh muscle. If I’m interpreting correctly, he was too decomposed to take blood samples and probably the same for vitreous. I see he had significant signs of cardiovascular disease, similar to Alex. If any toxic substance turns up in autopsies of TD or the children, will they be able to check JR’s samples? Or is that wishful thinking?

Does anyone else feel a little queasy about the release of these documents? This is the first case I've followed on WebSleuths and making child custody documents with details about therapy sessions public seems...not right to me? What are some of the justifications for it? I'm not judging anyone for wanting to know the information in them at all. I completely understand that. I just don't know how I feel about it right now, and would like some opinions from other WebSleuthers. Colby is a victim in all of this. I would think he will suffer having these documents released as it sounds like there is a lot of very personal and private information in them. These were therapy sessions (for underage children) and my understanding is therapy should always be confidential. How could these documents be legally "bought" and released? I don't understand. MOO.

ETA to clarify the part that bothers me is the apparent release of information gained in therapy sessions. I realize we've had access to child custody documents for MBP and BB for quite a while. It's the info gathered during therapy sessions for underage kids that may be released that bothers me. I don't understand how that is legal.

IMO As it appears the court did not redact, I think it was incumbent upon the person(s) who obtained and released the docs to redact. That wasn’t done and when I read them, I was uncomfortable. The info is out there now but I still think it would be a good idea for anyone releasing in MSM or a public forum to redact. JMO
