Snipped for focus
The attorney denied the claim, saying he paid her for sex and she consented to his advances. Yet in 2012, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to 120 days in jail.

I remember when all this came out, early on. I’m sure you’ll find the thread in which it was discussed, maybe back in the teens or twenties. Like so much about this case, it was shocking at first, then settled into mind-numbing normalcy. This case has it all, dunnit?

Dear co-sleuths,

Regarding Zulema’s recently released interview:

Did anybody get the creeped out feeling that Zulema’s reported massage story was a bit too similar to “Girl on Fire”’s experience?

I am not certain Zulema is entirely on the up and up. It could be, for example, that she was helping Alex test a substance willingly rather than simply getting a drop cloth massage.

Yet, no matter the background story of the massage, she did seem to describe a state of consciousness similar to Girl’s. Zulema called it really relaxed. Girl called it “like” hypnosis.

A good massage *should* leave you feeling relaxed. Lack of hydration can cause a more hypnotic sensation, which is why every good massage therapist I’ve ever used will hand you a bottle of water after the session and will urge you to take your time “coming back.”

https://www.realtor.com/news/celebrity-real-estate/daybell-idaho-home-new-owner/

Daybell transferred ownership of the home where the children were discovered to his attorney John J. Prior on May 12 through a quitclaim deed, according to property records.

Clients do transfer real estate to lawyers, often to pay their retainers if they don’t have the cash on hand. But it’s extremely unusual and typically frowned upon despite being legal in most circumstances in the state of Idaho, say attorneys.

If Daybell moved the property to his lawyer to protect it from victims or creditors, it can be challenged in court. Then a lien could be filed against the property for that amount. That would leave the attorney with nothing.

I bet that CD doing the Quit Claim on the house was a preemptive move, re: insurance company policy payout on Tammy Daybell's death benefits. That civil lawsuit will probably be next from the insurance company.

This is the sister of Tammy's friend?? I'm confused.

I haven't watched it but I did watch the one with Jason Mow and her name was brought up.

2 things I find odd.

No matter what your level of involvement is. Even if it's zero, why not have a lawyer present? This was not that long ago (April 2021). I think everyone understands the magnitude of this case and did by that point.

Secondly, these people have literally been stalked by media outlets, internet warriors, trolls, etc...This case is huge. How is it these people don't know where they were on all these dates. I'm pretty sure over the last 2 YEARS, I would have gone back and figured out when I was around any of the related parties and documented it myself to make sure I'm not dragged in.

I'm thinking they have the title incorrect. She is/was a friend of LVD not TD.

ETA: Or maybe she did know TD or her sister?

I know the witness list has changed but I think she was/is on the witness list

I'm wrong, my own fault. I had to listen a bit longer to figure out how they all tied-in together. It's explained further on in the interview ;)

I’ll co-sign this. I remember people wondering who she was. Maybe she has testimony about Tammy’s state of health.

After listening to part of another interview, I think there might have been a little bit of jealousy between "the gal pals".

She was Lori's friend and her sister was friends with Tammy. The title is correct.

SBM. If they did show up with lawyers to police interviews (like ZP), everybody would speculate about their guilt. Being in a cult isn't a criminal offense in itself. IMO the other women don't think they could be charged of anything relating to the murders. Unlike Lori's niece they do want to help LE.

CA Police Interview: Sister Of Tammy Daybell's Friend

I need to listen to that interview again. I'm sure she said not only was Lori putting crushed up Valium in Charles's protein shake powder (when they were living in Texas) but also adding it to JJ's meds.

And Alex said he wished to kill Charles at the same meeting, in June 2019.

CA said she visited Lori the next day and cut ties with her.

Police seemed surprised about the Valium, and the interview only took place in April 2021. Does that indicate ZP and MG hadn't said anything about it?
