My recollection matches that, the Jeep was across the street. I read conjecture that there were 2 people in the Jeep. I missed it if there was more than conjecture.

Watching the body cam video both the first officer on scene and Brandon point to a spot directly next to his driveway and say the Jeep was there. The officer says it and points it out with hand gestures at about 2:05 to to 2:10 in the video. Brandon then walks to that spot a few feet from his driveway, on the same side of the street, and says "they were parked right here" at about 2:18 into the video.

I shared the thought Melani might be the driver but I don't believe that now. According to the recent Gilbert Police documents, at 7:15 am Brandon left the house with 4 kids. At 7:19 am Alex arrives at Brandon's house in the Jeep (would Alex have shot Brandon in front of his kids if he had arrived 5 minutes earlier??). Brandon drops off the 3 older kids at school and then both he and Melani claim he dropped off the youngest child at her house. I don't know where or when that is but if both Melani and Brandon were there after he took the other kids to school there is no way Melani is in the Jeep at Brandon's house that arrived there at 7:19 am.

Which leads to the question - who was the 2nd person in the Jeep? Chad and Lori are in Rexburg. Melani is with the youngest child. Her statement to the police "I don't know what I did or where I was all day" when interviewed the next day is more than suspicious, she is deep into what happened. But based on timing the Gilbert PD laid out she can't be in that Jeep. Who in the Gilbert AZ area agrees to be the get away driver for a murder that only benefits a cult in Idaho?

I didn't know about Brandon's statement on location of the jeep.
As for who was the driver, timing is off somehow. I cant see it being anyone but Melani. JMO, of course.

I was reading Zulema's statement to the police, and there are so many discrepancies in her statement. It is on Justin Lum's Facebook page, not sure I could link it here.

She was not actually questioned. Just made a statement. I would have liked to ask why her son, who called 911 for Alex Cox didn't know that they were married. There are a lot of issues with her statement, that just don't seem credible to me. And I still have issues with AC death being "natural causes". And ZP having immunity.

Totally agree, what was in the previous public police reports does not agree with the body cam footage regarding the position of the Jeep. Also agree, no idea who else was in the Jeep with Alex. Maybe it was only Alex and he jumped into the front seat quickly to chase Brandon?

I can't wait for this part in the trials so we find out what really happened.

Could be he was not telling the truth about knowing AC. He is 25 according to this article not a teenager. And they met on a dating website while living in the same apartment complex. IMO, he was playing cat and mouse with the FBI all along and Mel was privy to that. IMO, obviously Chad set them up, married them off conveniently at the same time as Z and Alex. Oh and also, they had, IMO (again) they had known each other longer than stated.

I find it plausible that ZP's adult son didn't know Alex well. Allegedly he was dealing with his own issues so perhaps he didn't pay too much attention to his mother's love life. There must be a reason why he wasn't told they were married. He likely thought Alex was just another boyfriend.

It is my understanding after the shooting that he didn’t chase Brandon. It is my understanding he was in the back of the jeep and then the jeep sped off. How could the reports be so different? I think we can accept Brandon’s statement though. He was there.
