No I don’t think so. Because she’s not crazy, imho, instead, her belief system is faulty. Her opinions and values. Her faith.Her common sense and wisdom. I don’t think anyone could deprogram me on my religion, Catholic. So I doubt psychiatric treatment will help. She’s not having delusions. She’s sort of dumb and gullible.

We'll if she thinks she's a goddess who doesn't have to eat to survive and who can't be hurt even if she's shot, I'd call that delusional. She told those things to her brother before the murders started.

I hear you 100 percent. But the only wacky part of her is religion. Everything else is normal. Travel plans. Charming police. Self care. The religious beliefs are way out there, murder, zombies ,goddess, etc. My husband came from a Mormon family. I’m Catholic. At first, I thought the Mormon religion was nuts. Then I realized one could say the same about me and my religion. My religion believes we transform the host into the body and blood of Christ and we then swallow it. (Delusional?)And that Jesus died and rose again. So religious beliefs, in my very humble opinion, should be set aside when psych evals are done. i wish she could have a Mormon psychiatrist do the evaluations. She’s not mainstream LDS by any means, but they’d get the picture I suspect better than others.

I see your point about all religions being considered wacky by outsiders. But someone's belief in being bulletproof can be easily disproven. It has nothing to do with faith.

Yup. It would be interesting to know what Lori Lolo tells herself when she gets hungry, needs to take a leak, or finds she can’t walk through walls — she’s just trying to fit in until the time is right to reveal the full scope of her divinity?

My sense is that the narrative LV's defense is spinning is working. They are persistent and keep doubling down. A mentally ill woman, ripe for being taken advantage of by a charlatan (CD) who convinced her to do bad things in order to get what he wanted.

Better to be in an institution for the mentally ill, or in jail, than in prison. Chance of blaming it all on brother and CD. Maybe even get out.

Hopefully the prosecution's narrative is strong enough to unspin the spin.

I would suspect that she would be returned to the women’s detention center and that we’d see some sort of update on the data from VineLink indicating a change in her custody status. Either that or we would see another hearing scheduled and show up on the court docket/calendar, presumably her arraignment if she’s been deemed competent now. I’m leaning more towards she’s still been deemed incompetent right now though, if I had to pick one over the other.

Something I’ve said and believed for awhile now is that I think it’s unlikely she’d be able to really fool the professionals evaluating and treating her for such an extended period of time now. The longer it’s been the more I’ve believed that her competency had and did really deteriorate. She was in jail, had lost all her freedom, unable to talk to Chad directly (maybe indirectly through the attorneys) but suddenly had no Chad, no family support, all alone in jail. Similar circumstances can really affect someone’s mental health & I think it’s really possible she deteriorated (and was deemed incompetent from that deterioration). Life as she knew it was all gone, I can imagine what that would do to an “everyday” person let alone somehow who already believed some really fringe religious and nonsensical things.
I’m sure she will be restored, I don’t think she would’ve been able to fake it for this long, and I hope we see her deemed competent soon so that this case can proceed towards justice for the lives lost and all the lives affected by her and Chad.

Well written reply thanks and agree with process of her treatment etc. My gut is still saying we will hear something next week that will lead us to what the situation is. e.g. back in Madison or not.

I long for justice too, for those taken and for those left behind struggling with the loss.

I think there is a very good chance she WAS evaluated by a Mormon psychiatrist. Very large Mormon population here in Idaho. MOO.

That's pretty much how I see it, too. I think the principle motives behind these murders were among the most common, lust and greed. I think Lori says and does crazy things, but I also think she is far from legally insane. Lori and Chad may have delusions of grandeur, but I think maybe all their fantasies about people going dark and Lori being a reincarnated goddess, etc. were mainly designed to brainwash their little family cult. All MOO.

It was set to happen on 3/18 Friday but the State says more information is needed from Ada County officials. New date for this hearing is not decided. Prosecutors had recently shown comparison of costs between transferring venue to Boise or transporting jury members to Fremont.
