You're welcome. If I get to go to the Daybell trial, I will be the one sitting and doing ankle rolls. And when they talk about Alex Cox's cause of death, I will probably jump up and say "Everybody stretch your legs!' jk

Justice for Tylee, JJ, Charles and Tammy!
I will join you also LOL

I am trying to plan on being there

LOL! Can I use that excuse to get out of jury duty that I'm a member of Websleuths? The last time that I got called for Jury Duty they may not have taken me anyhow, but I managed to get out of it because of my daughter. They managed to convict him without me. It was a gang member shooting and he looked straight at me in the courtroom, I thought I would throw up I was so nervous. He still looked like a gang member even though they dressed him up in a lavender sweater.
YIKES !!!
Ive been summoned to jury duty but never had a case

I have been subpoenaed for a case though ---that was enough for me

I have never been summoned for jury duty. Been to court plenty of times though. It is not as fun as it looks on court shows on tv, like LA Law or Law and Order.

Lots of waiting on hard benches in my experience. Served on a couple juries, long ago was involved in work cases, called for Federal jury but wasn't selected.

Glad our WS village will have spectators in the gallery!

So - will there be separate trials - or will that be decided at Chad's 4/28 hearing?

TIA! :)

I’m excited so many of y’all are going to the trial! I always enjoy the inside look at what’s going on.

As far as jury duty, I have a lousy track record. I’ve been called three times locally and chosen to sit on the jury twice…a breaking and entering trial, and a strange, convoluted disturbing the peace trial.
I’ve also been called for federal jury which was 100 miles from my home. While driving there I was thinking it was probably a product liability trial but I was horrified to find it was a major drug trafficking, cartel, murder for hire thing. It was super scary with lots of extra security at the courthouse and a very very serious judge. Thank goodness they did not chose me.

Those of you attending the trial -- please consider printing pictures of Tylee & JJ life-sized to take with you, just to remind people who this is all about....

I have been to serve on a jury three times, in two different states and Washington, DC. It’s instructive, even if you’re not selected, which I only was once, for one trial. The defendant took a plea deal before we had a chance to hear the evidence, let alone deliberate, but it was still a fascinating experience. Don’t know if I could endure the 10 weeks this case will supposedly last, not to mention the horrifying evidence the jury will likely have to study.

I generally get called to jury duty every 3 years like clockwork. I was due in 2020 when the pandemic hit. I've served on two juries in the past 10 years. And I am really hoping my number isn't up in October.

I know they wouldn't want me because I know too much about the case but hearing about the kids and Tammy and their deaths and being sequestered for a few weeks would just kill me.

Didn't Alex also shoot at Boudreaux out of a car? It's been a while since I followed this case, so my memory might be off...
Yes, that's the occasion I meant.

Tammy Daybell’s death certificate was initially listed as “cardiac event” and “pulmonary edema” before she was exhumed and no autopsy was done at the time. And, in March of 2021. Chad Daybell renounced his right to be personal representative of Tammy’s estate and nominated their daughter Emma Murray.

Obtained the probate filing by Tammy Daybell’s daughter Emma Murray.

She was appointed personal representative of Tammy’s estate last year this time.

You will see the death certificate for the initial “natural” cause of death for Tammy. Fremont County Coroner Brenda Dye listed cardiac event and pulmonary edema in October of 2019. The rest of the documents are regarding Chad Daybell, Tammy’s father and father in law renouncing their rights to be personal representative and nominating Emma, along with Tammy’s will.

*numerous attachments. I will start loading them.*

I've served jury duty... Federal... several cases. I learned so much. It was not all fun but I believe it's our duty/responsibility to serve!

If I had to serve on a murder case, I would never be able to sleep or sit still again. Just the horror of a human being taking another’s life makes me very ill. Nope I couldn’t and wouldn’t do it, nor do I think a defense attorney would want me on a jury.

'Just the thought of murder is sickening but sadly it occurs too often. I know I've lost sleep thinking of a couple of cases I've read about here on WS... but relieved when the murderer was caught and convicted.
