Chad met JR in 2014 and later published her books. She stated that he spoke about having a vision of Tammy dying young. She also claimed that before Lori, Chad got involved with another woman from Arizona, but her husband chased him away after discovering their texts.
who is JR?

I don't doubt that Chad had been willing to be unfaithful to Tammy from way back. And use his pickup line that they had been married in a previous life.
LOL!!

Colby, yet another victim of LVD. It will be interesting to see his journey.

I thought Alex’s phone was not in Chads b/yard very long each time. Was it not there WITH Chads phone right before Chad left Tammy the -I killed a raccoon & buried it-message?
Chad (not Alex) did all the burn fires after …that the neighbor thought was very unusual.
Oh yes, I think Chad participated.

IIRC, for Tylee's burial Alex's phone was pinging on Chad's property for a couple of hours, but only about 15 minutes in JJ's case. The latter could indicate a pre-dug grave.

Also known as wishful thinking.

Upcoming interview on the Hidden True Crime channel with author Suzanne Freeman. Chad published her NDE books in 2004 and 2005.

Snipped for focus....

It is indeed hard to imagine, but this happens all the time....

I can't find the case, but wasn't there just recently a break in a big murder cold case where the body was moved over the years? I'm thinking it was CA (San José?) and the location was under a porch. There was a co-conspirator.
The Kristin Smart case. San Luis Obispo actually, but the trial was moved. Her perp Paul Flores and his father Ruben, who helped him move the body are on trial now. There is a thread here on Websleuths on this case.

IMO Alex saw himself as some soldier (of sorts), carrying out duties/bidding for the self-exalted Chad and Goddess Lori. I don't think he realized he was the fall guy.

What appalling courtroom behavior! Clearly she believes she is special and is of higher-standing than everyone in that courtroom. What shocked me was her flirtatious behavior towards her legal team. This won't work well with a jury.

It always amazes me when attorneys don’t guide their client in cases like this with the smiley face. Why wouldn’t they say that’s not going to go over well with the jury, be more serious etc.

In the case of Amber Heard she sunk herself with her courtroom antics. I don’t think her attorney had what it takes to guide her in any way, shape or form. She was obviously starstruck (and now fired). It’s also not likely that AH would listen to anyone.

Isn’t suggesting courtroom behavior still a good thing to do? It’s all part of the looking more innocent process. Smiling like a joker clown is ludicrous when up against murder charges.

I’m sure they talked about it with her; both of her attorneys have a lot of experience especially Archibald. I’m also pretty sure this type of stuff is typical, suggesting that how you look and act will affect public (and when a jury is present) perception and opinions. And being SO high profile outside of just that town and state, I’m sure this has been discussed with her. But when you have a client like LVD, who may have heard them mention the importance of some of this stuff, when she was actually there in the moment, seeing everyone and all the cameras, all the eyes on her….I think whatever they may have said goes right out the window.

Even the most focused, IMOO, and diligent person trying to look and act their best in Court may have a difficult time just because of the environment, the stressors, etc. Add in that the case is national and worldwide and I think that only adds to the difficulty. Not excusing her behavior but I think her attorneys definitely spoke to her about that but she is who she is and acted the way that many expected - but some still seem surprised - frankly I wasn’t; she appeared to me just like the smiling and laughing Lori on bodycam footage when Charles was killed and she is joking about making a scene with “hi neighbors” after just moving in recently. JMO and 2cents.

"She [Zulema} said she pressed him [Alex Cox] for more answers.
"And that's when he said, 'I think I'm being their fall guy,'" she told the investigators.

Unless perhaps said experienced attorneys are aiming for some sort of not-guilty-by-reason-of-insanity or mental defect approach.

Wait, we've talked about this under Idaho law:

18-207. Mental condition not a defense — Provision for treatment during incarceration — Reception of evidence — Notice and appointment of expert examiners. (1) Mental condition shall not be a defense to any charge of criminal conduct.

But, could this mean a revolving-door approach? Psychiatric institution, court, psychiatric institution, court, lather rinse repeat?

Horrible for Larry & Kay, Colby, and the taxpayers if so.

No Zulema, he was much more than that. He was a living breathing cold-blooded child murderer. No excuses.

I'd forgotten Zulema said that or maybe I just skimmed over it. But, I don't think Alex considered this fall guy conclusion until quite some time after the murders of Tyler and JJ - thus it didn't have any bearing on where they were buried. Jmo

I've wondered about this. If I recall, Archibald said (in a filing?) her mental state is still precarious. She looked to me like she was zoning out several times. JMO
