Did he have life insurance I wonder. Did Colby and Tylee keep in contact with him?

The source that talked to Gray Hughes said that Lori got $75,000 from life insurance after Joe's death. It's in the summary that diggndeeperstill did: ID - ID - Joshua Vallow, 7, & Tylee Ryan, 17, Rexburg, Sept 2019 #2
I don't know about Colby but Joseph Ryan was supposed to have shared custody of Tylee. I believe that Tylee was supposed to be splitting her time between Lori's house and Joe's house. But I don't know when/how long she would be living with him and when she would be at Lori's. Now we have confirmation from the coroner's report that JR was last seen by a neighbor about a week before his body was found. And the decomposition description in the report seems consistent with Joe having been dead a week or at least several days before his body was found. I wonder if Tylee was supposed to be at Joe's house any time during that week that he lay dead in his bed?

MOO.

IMOO These marriages have to do with Power. Chad believes he is something special. Lori wants to ride that wave. So how better to get closer to those that are higher up on the food chain? Marry them.
Death along the way? That is okay because we are talking about the "greater good." I may be way far off. My question who is bigger than Chad or at least an equal?

The family source on GH's Dec 25 podcast (at 20:20) on Alex: "He'd do anything for money. He once refinanced his parents' house behind their back and took $250k from them."
The source also says that Alex used his sister's (Melani's mother) credit card after her death. The source believes that Alex could have been involved in his sister's death.
My question: How come that he was so loyal to Lori in recent years? Did he have an addiction in the past?

If his motivation is money.....follow where and how he might have gotten money?

It mentioned arterial sclerosis and I think it said no foul play. But I did only quickly scan it. Poison would not cause arterial sclerosis would it?

It also states the manner of death as "natural".

JR's sister also posted elsewhere that heart disease runs in their family.

How does one refinance someone else's home? There are usually appraisals and lots of mortgage documents that are required to be signed and then recorded for a new mortgage

Right, I agree with you in the religious marriage sense, 100%. What I'm questioning is the added component of the civil marriages, which are not part of the usual m.o. of these fringe groups.

And I agree that @GoneGoldfishin' is on the right track with the link he shared, as far as your last question. That guy is a piece of the puzzle, IMO.

For anyone else who wants more valuable background info on the slide from mainstream LDS to offshoot/extremist fringe, find the MormonLeaks release from August 22, 2017, and read the documents. AVOW is mentioned in one of the documents. The docs aren't about Chad/his group (if there is a formal group), but are about an adjacent and similar group.

He might have forged his dad's name, or said he had power of attorney to represent him. I wonder if this was the same house seized by the government to settle the Cox tax evasion fines.

There are some financial/legal shenanigans in this family, documentation of which can be found. I don't know exactly what scenario is at play here, but likely the home was purchased with the parents' money, and was "theirs," but Alex was the one on the title and/or loan (if there was a loan). So legally the home was his, and he had every legal right to refinance it. But the initial investment in the home was his parents' money, so in a moral sense he stole the money from them. MOO (and we don't know if the family member was sharing accurate info.)

The same source claims that, while Charles was still alive, Lori and Alex were discussing how they were going to spend the money acquired after Charles' death. Suposedly Alex stopped working because he expected to profit from it.

...But her statement about Alex flying off to Columbia often? How would this even be possible? Funded and why? If it was for the reason stated why would he need to fly to Columbia?? What else was this guy up to if there is an ounce of truth in it.
We can’t really sleuth Melani and Alex’s new spouses here, but I wonder if these couples had been together for a while (perhaps secretly) or if the couplings happened suddenly. Does anybody know?
Zulema is from Chile (Ways of Assessing Children and Curriculum and Ways of Assessing Children and Curriculum). Perhaps Columbia is like Boise (attributed to MB's destination). People don't know exactly where the person is going beyond general area (South America). Perhaps Columbia is the first leg of the flights AC took. Also Zulema is an emotion code practitioner and worked with children so she could have come into contact with LV and/or MB very early on. Also, she's listed on some website that shall not be named (user 17962). I wonder how active she is there.

So did people in the ward have no idea about Chad's books? Did they know he claimed to be visionary? What about his association with JRowe?None knew about AVOW, I assume. Do you think there are other members in your ward who are sympathizers--potentially AVOW members? Do you suddenly wonder who in the ward you can actually trust??
His brother's statement is the first I've heard that anyone in the ward knew of the contents other than the obviously fiction ones. I didn't know he claimed to be visionary–and I thought I knew him quite well until October.

I get the impression she being a Mom, grandma , working at the library and her church service, she was a very nice lady . I am sure shock is an understatement to this whole scenario. I can not imagine the stress this is putting on the 5 Daybell kids.
Yes, she was. I agree it has to be tough for them all. The missionary in South Africa especially. I think that's why they've gone silent to the public. I also don't think they know the full extent of what's coming to light. I know they don't. They can't. MOO: They've been instructed to stay out of it all.

What are the chances that the car that went off the cliff was a rental? Would Lori and Chad use rentals or borrowed cars at this point?
There have been cases where people going missing went unnoticed for several months or even longer.
Yes, but the lawyer's message points to them thinking they're going to come out of all this unscathed. I don't think the cliff-jumper was them.

Both Melani and Lori have custody battles on the horizon. If they are married and can show they are in a stable relationship with husbands who have or have raised their own children they may stand a better chance of getting custody or at least joint custody. Assuming the attempted murder and suspicious deaths are resolved. Even if the deaths end up as not criminally motivated, the murder attempt does appear to implicate the Lori/Alex/Melani trio. MOO.
MOO:This! Add ZP to that trio? And AC's death points to he acted alone. Unless there was some evidence of conspiracy or accessory to commit murder.

One has to have live children in order to have a custody battle on the horizon.
Another point in the "they're still alive" column.

Ok, I'm the one who bit the bullet and now has the shady search engine history , but Colombia is a major sex tourism destination that has legal prostitution (when complying with certain laws), sex resorts, and rampant illegal prostitution, including a huge adult and child sex trafficking issue. Apparently it's a top-ten destination in the world for this, and one of the closest/least expensive to get to from Arizona. You can go to a Wikipedia article for more info. In fact, I wouldn't be too surprised if this was a topic of the Alex-Lori screaming match about him dishonoring the family. MOO.

Yes, but the lawyer's message points to them thinking they're going to come out of all this unscathed.

MOO, but whether CD and/or LV are guilty of anything, or innocent of everything, their lawyer has given them excellent legal advice and they are following it to a "T." This goes for the Daybell children, too. And we don't know what any one of the Daybell kids have or haven't said to LE. If the lawyer thinks he has a legal leg to stand on in advising the kids not to speak to LE, then that may have been his direction to them. Or, he may have advised them to answer questions (possibly with him present), and then LE has told them to remain quiet. It's good practice to expect police to comply with the law and produce a warrant before allowing them to search your home. Just because those in the Daybell house at the time of the search asked to see the warrant doesn't mean they are or have been fully uncooperative. We don't know. And, if the Daybell children have very little info (just whatever lies or truths their dad told them), then it's almost moot.

I feel for the Daybell children. They lost their mom unexpectedly and tragically. Their dad, who they likely grew up fully trusting as an ultimate spiritual and family authority, like most Mormon kids do, seems to be mixed up in something, but maybe they don't know a lot about it. Even if they are supporting him because they are "believers" in him as a visionary or prophet, it's difficult to expect anything different from them if they were conditioned into this since the time they were born, hearing about their dad's visions all their lives, or at least since their early teens. Daybell children, if any of you read here...my condolences on the loss of your mom.

The source of Lori saying that Tylee died years ago is the Dec 30th Press Release put out by the Rexburg Police Dept: Rexburg Police Department
...
We don't know who Lori told this to but I believe police know. In an interview sometime after this press release a LEO (I'm thinking either the Fremont County Sheriff or the Rexburg Sheriff?) said Lori told "family" that Tylee died years ago. I looked but can't find that quote about it being family now -- maybe someone else knows which sheriff said it and where. Otherwise, consider it my opinion only that Lori told family members (possibly Chad's family IMHO) that Tylee died before her father.
MOO: I think it was told to Chad's family as well. I believe that's where I first heard it. It fits other things that I've been told secondhand that the kids are fine: 1) Chad doesn't know they're alive–or were alive in as recently as September, or 2) with one foot in this life and one connected to the other side, someone might believe that kids are "fine" beyond grave. 'They're fine, don't worry about them'.

If Chad didn't/doesn't know before December 20, how can he not know now? If he knows now, how can this continue much longer?

Yes, but having gone through this...It is not as simple as going to your vet to get a quick blood draw. The vaccination has to be of acceptable "lots/manufacturers." The titer has to be done by a very short list of labs. One of them I think is at University of Kansas. The turnaround is weeks/months not days. Then the results have to get to the State of Hawaii before arrival and the state has to process them (more weeks). (Maybe not something most people will understand but Hawaii is somewhat like a third world country. Things do not usually work as advertised. I could give dozens of examples but suffice it to say that the process the state web pages outline is idealistic at best. On Oahu there is more infrastructure so things are more likely to work as described. Where I live on the Big Island it truly is like the wild west in many ways. Many government processes simply cannot be implemented as the law dictates so the laws are simply not followed. If Oahu were to try to complain they'd have to fork over billions of dollars they don't have immediately to fund the infrastructure required. I could give a very specific example right now but it is way off topic.)

We planned for 2 years to get an animal here and the "action period" while we were getting and waiting for tests, government responses, etc. was over 6 months. At my workplace we routinely hire people from the mainland and the time frame I experienced is typical.

My only point is that you do not decide to move to Hawaii and show up with your dog 2 months later, not even a service dog. Health rules trump ADA. The ONLY difference between service animals and pets in the process is that service animals can avoid the 120 day quarantine period if all the documentation is in order. But that has applied to pets as well for the last 7 years or so which means there is no longer any real difference.

I do not believe they moved to Hawaii. But if they did, that could explain the need to get rid of the dog. There simply was no time to get the dog here.

On the flip side, the whole "wild west" nature of the situation here means that people can and do disappear and avoid LE for decades. There are things that happen in the hills where police cannot even legally go within miles of that would blow your mind. Most of course are drug operations. But there are whacko compounds as well, mostly New Agers. And the local LDS community at least on the Big Island seems very mainstream.

Would it be such a huge process if Bailey had already gone through it once before? Hadn't they just gotten back from living in Hawaii for awhile? Did they have the service dog with them during that time, or did they just get it after coming back?

I wonder if Melani's actions are independent or if she is still influenced by Lori's cult, now that Lori is in hiding.
I think Milani's actions were influenced by the fact that Brandon was not going to let her take the kids. They have four kids that would have been worth a lot of child support. The thing about running away and starting a new life is that you need income. Additionally a lot of things about this case points to the bottom line which is money.

The family source also stated on GH's show that it was well known in the family that Alex had an addiction to sex and 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, so perhaps (IMO) his trips to Columbia had nothing to do with his new wife.

What I found interesting in the source's testimony was their frustration at the police which (according to the source) didn't act when Lori's threats on Charles' life were reported or that they left Alex leave for Columbia while he was still under investigation after Charles' death.

Alex had a girlfriend that was Columbian. He went to Columbia to go see her. But that didn't work out.

The dog was born 11/17, well after they had moved back from HI, per timeline.
