Does anyone know if there is a website to view "pending" autopsy results for Tammy? Similar to the one for Alex?

A good point. I was thinking it might be possible to make a charge of conspiracy to endanger a child. However, it appears Idaho law requires bodily injury or death to constitute a felony under their child protection laws. Perhaps the fact that J.J. is characterized as having "special needs" might permit a theory premised on a claim that Chad's participation in concealing his whereabouts and welfare may be exposing him to serious harm.

Since Idaho does provide some statutory grandparents' rights I'm wondering whether it might be prudent for them to file a civil case against both Chad and Lori simply to initiate discovery. Lori would likely plead the Fifth and would be upheld since she's facing serious charges. However, I'm not sure Chad would be able to do so under the current circumstances. Law enforcement very likely has a game plan now, but, perhaps, a civil lawyer on their behalf might be able coordinate with the feds to institute discovery proceedings that would possibly ratchet up pressure or even lead to valuable info.

Ahhh... Conspiracy to endanger a child, particularly a special-needs child. Yes. I like this thinking... Along with LE game plan in place and the possibility of charges ratcheting up pressure on CD to provide info.

I can't believe an autopsy wasn't done when Tammy died. A young woman just dying and her husband, or her "family", says don't bother with an autopsy, so none is performed?

She seemed close to her family. I can't imagine they would have encouraged no autopsy.

Utah doesn’t have this capability. The ME Office has been under-funded for years. They are just getting back up to speed. Privacy is a big deal here as well. A few years ago the University Hospital lost a ton of patient data that caused some serious issues. The Pathologists are great here. They generally are affiliated with the University Hospital and Med School.

yes - I was just referring to the paper that he has been carrying around, and that we wonder what it could possibly say! Moo

Probably his healthy "juice" recipe :p

I agree. Because she was young, healthy and fit - an autopsy would have revealed a possible genetic cause which would have been helpful to the children and grandchildren. I would imagine policy changes will occur in Idaho. If foul play comes up in the tox screen, they could honor Tammy by calling for mandatory autopsy in cases such as hers. Name it Tammy’s Law. MOO

Just want to state that this is JMO. I was watching the news this morning and one of the clips they showed of MBP walking out of court (on AZFamily tv, but can't find the exact clip on their website). Could have just been a poor observation on my part, but she looked a tad bit preggo. Her walk and the way her dress moved over the belly area seemed like someone who may be about 4ish months along. Again, MOO. I'm probably way off on this, but thought I'd share my thoughts. I'm heading out to work, and will catch up on the thread later. Have a great day everyone!
You know I noticed her walk when she was heading in. Sort of swaying side to side and she was wearing boots while other women were all in high heels. I'm going to have another look. Her pink outer dress was open across her front from waist down and showed a loose white dress underneath.

What did her death certificate give as the cause of death?

Chad is certainly glomming onto the “hurr durr derp, I love lamp” persona, but he is no slouch. Albeit he is not in one’s right mind, I think he is playing up the doofus angle. Very well I might add, lol. I think it is only a matter of time (perhaps if he is arrested) until he rolls on Mrs. Toilet Paper Ringlets.
Chad’s posture, and demeanor is the same as it’s always been. I don’t think he is playing up any angle there; it’s authentic. His changes are in dress and appearance. IMO

Early on in the thread I suggested MG (as they were podcast buddies) might have them and was told it was ridiculous- yet now we hear that Lori asked her to lie to actually say she had them. So did MG ask Lori why she or Chad should lie or even ask her where the kids actually were? How come nobody in her circle is asking and has any answers? Are they scared of Lori and Chad themselves?
With as many bodies dropping around these two, I'd be scared.

Lots of religions and/or families don't especially take kind to autopsies. And at the time, Charles's kids and perhaps most of Lori's relations had little to no reason to suspect murder. It's not unheard of for people of her age to suddenly experience a lethal event from a stroke or brain aneurysm.

I have known four people who did just that. A family friend best known through my uncle died instantly of a brain aneurysm while he was on a family outing; he was very athletic and a great dad with a great job, he literally just fell over dead in front of everyone, at only 46. Second one was my grandma on my father's side, she was cleaning her bathroom at 53 and just all of a sudden got the worst headache of her life and called an ambulance. She lived but was never the same. The third time a professor I very much like died at 38 from a sudden, massive blood clot rupturing while doing his morning jogging. And the fourth time was an old friend of my grandmother on my mother's side, she turned her head while parking her car and died after a few hours from cracking her neck while looking behind herself, causing some sort of blood clot to dislodge and move onto her brain.

Point is, death is something you can experience at any age, but the older you get, it does seem that it's more frequent and random sometimes. It's probably what's gonna take me. I have no serious family history of any cancer of any kind, no obesity problems, dementia, or weird genetic stuff (other than huge Italian honkers), but most older people in family have made it kind of a habit of just falling over dead from a massive brain or heart condition in their seventies one day.

You mentioned 4 people in your post, 3 of which died. How did they determine cause of death?

From my experiences, when there are children and grandchildren involved, families want to know precisely what happened in case of a genetic problem. Jmo

Autopsies found out cause of death in all of them who died because the family demanded it and so did their insurance for at least two of them. But to be fair, two were Catholic and one was athiest. Catholics here in the US don't usually have a real problem with autopsies. Jehovah's Witnesses, some Jews, and some Mormons as I understand it, do.

As for the family link, I find it CRAZY that Tammy's children did not demand an autopsy, personally. At least I know my family and friends are prone to strokes and blood clots. But a lot of people just don't want to know that stuff because it scares them and they don't like to think about their own death.

Catching up. Still behind.
Probably unrelated, but there is a suspicious death investigation happening Idaho Falls:
Police investigating 'suspicious death' at home in Idaho Falls | East Idaho News

Chad used to work in Idaho Falls. Is there anyone there we should be concerned about?
If it's the house behind the "Crime Scene" trailer, then deceased is a 63 year old concrete contractor. Chad worked in publishing. Most likely unrelated.

Hmmm. Wonder why he went to a thrift store?
My guess is to donate things he doesn't want to travel with (extra clothes? maybe some of the things they shipped over in boxes?). Or to browse for cheap clothes he might need in Idaho (winter coat, boots, etc.). It's a bit cooler here than his present locale.

Wait, didn't they just buy the furniture stuff about a month or two ago? Neighbors said that Chad and Lori had moving vans bring in new and modern furniture, but that they had some smaller boxes delivered from Idaho... Furniture is expensive and it doesn't exactly hold much resale value.

Jesus, they both really thought they'd be in Hawaii for a while with no problems, didn't they? Or else they knew how expensive tourist season was planned everything at a loss no matter what...

BBM. That's interesting to me in a general way. If we suppose he needs warmer clothing, we suppose all his clothes at his house are gone. IF that's true, he had no intention of ever going back to Idaho (or leaving Hawaii). Jmo
