As a matter of fact, I have a lap lane reserved this afternoon.

This black dog on the cinder block is so intriguing to me for some reason... Is it maybe some sort of animal deterrent, like those fake owls?

Not sure, but it somewhat reminds me of the real old doorstops that were cast iron. Some people like to set a little mascot out to help people find their homes - "look for the pelican on the front step".

Could be our eyes are playing tricks on us, too. JMO

And was thought by some (apparently mistakenly, at least on one occasion) to be a prerequisite for collecting life insurance benefits and other assets following the "natural" death of a spouse

OH YEAH! I totally forgot about that!

This is my first post, please bear with me. Several threads back, someone posted a picture of the dig spot, showing the orange duffle bag, on the blue tarp. The FBI photographer (CSI person?) is taking a picture, and that area of ground, IMO, looks stained, from bodily oils/fluids/decomp. The inside/bottom of the orange duffle (I can see handles on it) bag looks to be rotted out, from decomp. As far as any remains inside, that's hard to tell.

But, regarding the picture, at the bottom of that "H" looking thing, there's a cinder block. On that block is something black. I've blown up the picture, and IMO, it looks like a toy puppy. Any ideas on it? Again, this is JMO (lol those are my initials!) Thanks!

Welcome to Websleuths, JoJoJoey!

I think you can see the *puppy* (or something black) sitting beside the cinderblock in this search photo that @vislaw posted upthread.

BBM. A family insider mentioned to Gray Hughes in text exchange (Dec 25 video) that Alex quit his job because he was expecting to get part of Charles' life insurance money.
As payment for killing him IMO.

While I agree that, without Tylee around, she would have to actually care for him and I highly doubt she was ever interested in being a mother to JJ, registering him in school still doesn't make much sense to me. That, added to the fact that she allowed him to play with a kid that lived near them is just weird. If the plan was to off Tylee and JJ all along, then not letting them be seen would make more sense, I feel like @nhmemorymaker makes a good point: she let several strangers met JJ and that was super unnecessary. The fact that they most likely weren't killed at the same time also makes no sense. It looks like Tylee was the first to go, but I highly doubt JJ never asked about her and where she was, even though the poor child would just believe anything his poor excuse for a mother would tell him. JJ could never be the first one to go because Tylee would become a problem.
Even though JJ was probably easy to lie to, because he truly believed his dad was alive and just traveling, you never know how a kid is going to behave. Kids are umpredictable and, sometimes, say some interesting things. I can't imagine why she would take the risk of him saying something at school that would bring attention to the fact that Tylee was nowhere to be found.
I wonder if JJ and Tylee even met Chad or knew about him.

Agreed. The school enrollment makes sense, but only up to a point. I wonder what his attendance and behavior were like.

Aren't his teacher and principal from his Rexburg school on the witness list now?

So someone pointed out a section of LV's arrest affidavit yesterday that is bothering me and since we are discussing vehicles and locations I would love to hear viewpoints on this. I can't find the original quote for some reason (probably sleep deprivation) so I will quote it from other sources:

That same Jeep was seized from Vallow in November. Police noted, "It is significant that the vehicle (Tylee) regularly drove was still in Rexburg nearly two months after the last known sighting of (Tylee)." Mother of missing Idaho children told police her friend had her son. The friend said she was asked to lie.

Complete affidavit is here: READ: The documents charging Lori Vallow Daybell | East Idaho News

This is what bothers me: We know Lori was under surveillance since November 1st 2019 because of the attempted shooting of BB. At the time of writing this affidavit the police knew Tylee had been missing since September 8th 2019. So by saying the Jeep had been seized "nearly two months" after her disappearance means that police must have seized it in early November and not during the search warrants executed at the end of November. Do fellow sleuthers think that this points to the jeep being abandoned somewhere or do you think that LV and crew would have continued their bizarre behavior even though they knew the police were actively investigated them and had served a search warrant on them for the jeep? Curious for input, TIA!!!

Swimming is the best! I think we may be from the same area (Edwards Aquifer?), I remember you from the Colton Turner case.

Maybe the dog was a garden decoration from when Tammy was still around. Kinda like a gnome, but... a dog. It reminds me of Bailey... and so it's also like a a very sad grave marker now...

Good catch. I vote for abandoned. But where? Hope Rexburg locals chime in on this.

Just watched, thanks for posting. I actually like this interview with her better than the 1st one. Ominous warning to Chad jmo More informative and clearer

It is one of the better interviews I've seen and I too, saw the first one. She's my kind of woman. A lot more spiritual discernment than MG has ever had! JMO

I haven't looked into it, beyond the video from which I got the screenshot. The video itself, well just the bit of it that includes my screenshot, stood out to me. I know we can't link twitter videos, but I'm curious if anyone else has seen it. Hopefully, I'm allowed to include this....it's video SD made and posted for his tshirt business. I'll edit if not allowed.

I can't find any evidence that Chad and the children ever met, and I'm wondering if those times that he he told his kids that Lori was an empty-nester was what he actually believed at the time.
BBM. No. They told people that Lori was an empty nester only after they got married (Nov 5). Beside that, almost a year earlier Chad rated her kids according to light/dark scale. He knew she had children from the start.

When I read this, I immediately thought "cast iron Scottie dog". Now that it's in my head, that's that it looks in the picture. But I don't think there's enough resolution to really see that in the pic.

Was it seized because of the BB attempted shooting? I was under the impression that Chandler PD was working with Rexburg PD.

Yes, that is my understanding.
