Ummm, and as the wife as ex LEO, I don’t say that lightly, but there seem to have been a lot of mistakes made all along the way. I believe that is a lot of what has contributed to LV’s feeling of invincibility. JMO

Having lived in AZ most of my life I can say that guns are very common. He just told them he shot someone. He did not deny it. They could deal with the gun issue later. Their main job that morning was to secure the scene and interview witnesses which is exactly what they did.

I had to call the cops a couple of times in my life (both times for burglaries). In both cases the cops that arrived asked if I had any guns. I did, told them where they were, and they did not even look at them. They went in, made sure the house was clear, then asked ME to make sure my guns were secure, then proceeded with asking questions like what was missing etc. They just want to know what to expect. Gun ownership in Arizona is higher than Texas. Idaho is slightly higher than Arizona.

My apologies for asking this, but I am unable to keep up with this thread. Are there no legal consequences for having missed the Thursday deadline to produce the kids? LE hasn't gone back to Hawai'i to arrest them for violation of that order?

There can be civil or criminal consequences for missing the deadline. As for LE, it is not clear if Idaho LE has left Hawaii yet (unless I missed a story saying LE already returned to Idaho).

People that live in Hawaii are generally incredibly friendly, and I don't think we can judge them for honestly not knowing, the story has not gotten a great deal of coverage there.

Have you ever heard of Robert Berchtold? This situation reminds me a bit of what happened with him. There's a documentary called "Abducted in Plain Sight"...fascinating.

I don't think so. The key to this is the death of Alex, and where Melani is currently. Potentially, Tylee and JJ could be with Melani. But, why not just show LEO their pictures? What is the reason for the drama?

@divineappt @tresir2012 @KonaHonu , you may have seen my other post, but Alex's felony in Texas went through deferred adjudication in Texas and the felony wasn't entered as a final conviction. So, after he completed his probation, his gun ownership rights were restored 100%. He technically doesn't have a felony on his record, even though he committed felony assault and served time for it.

Hmm. I found a FB group with 200+ members that hasn't seen any posts since December 8. I'm not going to post there, but it seems like they could stand a bit of action.
