I think they're good for at least a year at a shot. Definitely not less. (No doubt there are ways to invalidate them, but we have no reason to think that would have been done recently.) So I suspect Chad's in good shape. In fact I would be amazed if he wasn't. Lori is another story. I can't claim to have a good feel for how well she at least went through the motions of pretending belief, church attendance, tithing payment, etc. I don't think we can rule it out, but I wouldn't argue that it is a given either. There are ways to get a forged temple recommend and, if I cared to do such a thing, the person I'd talk to in an attempt to do so would have been in Lori's neighborhood for part of this adventure, but I doubt that's what happened.
In order to get married in a temple, you also need a valid wedding license.

Jethro4WS thank you. Auto generated data. Got ya!

Did you watch the video I just posted?

I was under the impression from this weeks postings that the case got serious when they first looked into td death. Found out cd was married already. Looked into lv and discovered her kids are missing.

The detective on phone on the video seems to suggest some case in Arizona lead them to TD.

Both can be true but begs the question. What case or cases in Arizona are they referring to?
Nice find!

Several days ago I brought the question up of what tipped the FCSO off to re-examine Tammy's death. Based on the information they gave in the police report they got tipped off to take a closer look at her death before the welfare check was conducted, and before they found out that Lori and Chad were married. It seems this news report answers my questions. It appears detectives in Arizona called looking for answers and/or connections with "some cases down here that got [their] attention with Miss Daybell."

Notice the wording. "Some cases." That's plural and means at least two and maybe more. Now I'd love to echo your wonderful question: What case or cases in Arizona are they referring to?

Complete speculation here. Maybe Arizona LE in looking for potential motives found out about Lori's "dancing" video, among other things, that tied Lori to Chad. And in looking into Chad they discovered that his wife had just passed away and therefore reached out to FCSO for more details surrounding her passing, which in turn triggered FCSO into taking a closer look. MOO. Very interesting details.

That could explain at least one case. I wonder what other cases would cause Arizona to take a look at Tammy. Surely she wasn't involved in anything, so Chad would have been the POI in whatever they were looking for. MOO.

My dads planning permission got turned down because a lady objected and was trying to prove that the radio waves cause cancer. She thought his mast would fry her children’s brains with radio waves. He ended up using a more powerful, portable one that didn’t need planning permission jmo
Where do you live? In the US the supreme court banned most restrictions on radio antennas of any kind over 30 years ago. Local municipalities, HOAs etc. generally are not even allowed to request you get permission in most cases. I cannot find the specific case but I found several cases relating to satellite dishes and TV antennas. The city always loses. Landlord can't even restrict tenants from putting up antennas in areas the tenant has exclusive use.

Does Lori Vallow have a temple recommend? Also, they would both have to have special sealing interviews and recommends from the Bishop and Their Stake President to be married in the temple, you can't just go there, show them your recommend and ask to be married, it doesn't work that way. Chad would have had to go and have interviews with his Bishop and interview with his stake pres. to have this special sealing recommend sometime during the two weeks right after his wife died. He would have had a lot of explaining to do with them. Also, Lori had just moved to Rexburg, I don't know how easy it would have been to get this done quickly, since her current Bishop and Stake Pres. would want to talk to her previous Bishop and Stake pres. before signing off. Does this even seem plausible?

With that explanation (the need for the special interviews before the marriage/sealing in the temple) I'd say there is pretty much no way.

Yes! You said exactly what I was now thinking after a rewatch. Why "Miss Daybell". That suggest she was the target not CD.

I agree but does it need to be from Idaho... I am actually asking someone who works at the Temple to make sure...
I've worked in a temple, lot of paperwork required to get married there, we would know. Pretty sure Chad and Lori aren't hanging out at a temple lol. MOO

This may sound like a quick judgment on my part, but in the videos I've seen of Lori, she is not wearing garments, which are something that members who attend the temple (except those who perform proxy baptisms) wear under their everyday clothing, she would not be able to wear tank tops. I've been assuming that she has not been to the temple, but have never heard either way. I don't think I've ever read that any of her marriages were sealed in the temple. Maybe others know?
I've seen a photo of another wedding, she was wearing a strapless dress. MOO

While that's true, active, devout members are not likely to shed their garments for everyday convenience. It's a symbol of a sacred covenant we make to wear them, and it's not taken lightly. While it may be an inconvenience to wear them in hot climates, when I have traveled to hot places on vacation, I still wear mine and the active members I know also wear theirs. If wearing a swimsuit, we don't wear them, and maybe not while exercising, but all other times, devout, believing 'endowed' members wear them, so I think living in Hawaii would not be a valid excuse to not wear them, (the exception being when at the beach or pool, swimming or out exercising.) And maybe that's the case with Lori. Maybe all the pics I've seen she's just been photographed after being out exercising. I don't know. MOO.

Lori probably doesn't wear temple garments. Especially while dancing.

My Great grandmother wore the old style garments, that went all of the way down to the ankles, and wrists, with high neckline. This was before air conditioning, in St. George, Utah, all summer long, with a dress on top of the garments.

In 1967, we bought a window AC, the thing was as loud as a disel engine, and we loved it.

Only Gray Hughes.
According to my observation in many cases here, John Lordan's YouTube videos are also allowed. He and Gray Hughes sometimes obtain exclusive interviews with families, friends, witnesses, PIs, etc. involved in a case.

Police investigation timeline - (how many timelines are needed)

1. A "case" leads them to think TD death wasn't natural causes (video i posted a few pages before you can hear the call)

2. It was determined that within weeks of Tammy Daybell’s death, her surviving husband, Chad Daybell, had married Rexburg resident Lori Vallow,

3. that during the investigation into TD death, law enforcement was made aware that two Rexburg children, ages 7 and 17, were missing

4. (Supposition) found out about AC & MB & BB & CV cases probably SC too. Because that would make sense that they then look into other family members. Probably BB who told police about the shooting himself.

So what case in Arizona lead them to TD?

I would say the two cases in AZ that led them are CV's death and the BB shooting... IMO, the BB shooting led them to Lori and the web that progressively gets bigger by the day. I think BB knew and gave all sorts of info that set investigations into motion. He is the key and the one who knew about CV and who knew Lori and that MB was following her aunt's antics...

I'm going to get in trouble for talking about funeral potatoes like I did for fry sauce. :) Think of a casserole (hot dish, if you're from Minnesota) that doesn't have any meat, but is a combination of shredded potatoes, cheese, I think cream of mushroom (or cream of something) soup, and possibly diced onions (but not sure) and maybe a few other ingredients. It's kind of a staple side dish that are among the things always served at a post funeral get together at the church for family and out of towners at a Mormon funeral.

If you search on Amazon for funeral potatoes you'll find a company makes an instant version of them (ideal for your food storage, preppers) available from there.
Fry sauce and the economy are the reasons why I moved to Utah, funeral potatoes are why I stay:). I think they're even selling funeral potatoes at Walmart now.

Yep, in looking at her in the video at the Kauaii resort, the thought came to me that she looked like she has hair extensions. They look nice, but sometimes, when hair is just too perfect, perfectly curly or perfectly straight, etc. and full, it's likely that it has help.
Omg she probably loves that are talking about her hair

Do you need permission to post Lordon videos?

All I can say is none of these were factors in my fleeing Utah 20+ years ago, nor a draw to pull me back. :)

Probably. If you run across her, you can always ask if that's her hair or not. Jmo :)

The garment changed from the victorian style in the 1920s to short sleeve, knee length (and since have continued to be modernized) but I'm sure some older members continued to wear that long sleeve long leg type, and the fundamentalists (those who left the church to practice polygamy) continued to wear the old style. That had to be a real sacrifice wearing all those layers of clothing in St. George in August!! I don't know how they did it without Air conditioning, just driving through Southern Utah and Nevada with no AC was agony, when I was a kid.

something I watched on youtube gave an explanation for my question. It sounds like she stopped wearing her garments because she was a 'god' and didn't need to anymore. it makes sense. MOO

Well, I"m just petty enough that I'd notice her hair, and it makes sense that as a former hairdresser, she'd know the value of hair extensions for making hair longer and fuller and enhancing natural hair. She obviously takes care with her looks.

A private investigator hired by Brandon in October came to Rexburg. Maybe Chad was spotted at Lori's townhouse. If Gilbert police notified Freemont County within days of Tammy's death, Idaho LE might have started following Chad and Lori sooner than we think.

At least as much sense as anything else she's reported to have said.
