I am going to share my personal LDS and Christian wedding planning experience for my DD. The caterer showed us the cutest mock cocktail set up. My DD I said yes to it. I got a call a few days later saying.....Nope! I was pretty sure it was going to be vetoed. Oh well.

IMO, the champagne pics is more proof of the hypocrites that are Lori and Chad.

Also, IMO, these two hide behind religion to hide their greed.

You might be thinking of the wrong Melanie

I'm not aware of any Melanie V****. I'm aware of Melani, Lori's late sister Stacey Cope's daughter, whose name never would have been Vallow. She was Melani Boudreaux while married to Brandon Boudreaux, and now is married to IP so presumably her last initial also is P.

The other Melanie mentioned briefly in this case can't be sleuthed here, but is another participant in the activities of the publication/media company that cannot be named. Her last initial is G not V.

That is not Lori's niece but Kay Vallow's relative. We are not allowed to publicly sleuth people who aren't victims or suspects. You can only name those who have been named in MSM.

This could be correct. However, it's also possible a signed "release form" could be required... Depending on private or public property, maybe? I don't know... I'm just guessing about all of it. Or maybe the pictures are gone from public view as they are considered "evidence" by LE.

They are not officially assumed dead (not that we know of anyways). Lori told LE she is keeping her children somewhere safe and secret.

I wonder if part of the problem of forcing her to say where the children are is because of confusion about what state they are in? I think the state has a right to confirm the safety of children, even if parents don't want to provide it. But, what state?

You would think the in the case of JJ specifically, there would be urgency to confirm his well being.

I could be wrong about the state issue, of course.

I don't really know, but I suspect the use of the word "safety" allows them to bring in the department of health. Not that I have any faith in child protection, but whatever. They investigate abuse and neglect which would allow them to run a sort of parallel investigation. I don't know if the courts can place the children directly into the department of health's custody with them being missing or not? At which point I would hope the Woodcocks would be quickly approved as guardians.

They can try to question her, but she'd just refuse to talk. Unless the police have evidence that the children are no longer alive or cirumstances dictate it, it can't be presumed that they are dead.

To be clear, I didn’t say he got paid for them; I said I hadn’t seen where it said he hadn’t. Because I hadn’t. Once I reviewed the statement from the touring conference group, I saw that they did claim to not pay him, nor anyone else, for speaking at events. I then pointed out that that is not the same as paying people for being on their podcasts and generating traffic to their website and services. In the end, I have no idea who is paying them or not. Thanks.

Why has this news about Tylee's phone got out when this matter is protected because she is a minor?

Is the fact this story was broken by CBS news relevant? What time zone was it broadcast in? Seems to have been 7.18am at the link, and we got it an hour and a half ago. Maybe Central? Makes me think this wasn't released by police on Sunday.

I accept that there is much going on behind the scenes that we can't know. This is obviously now a very high profile matter so that everyone involved wants to make damn sure they don't screw up. Matters are complicated by the fact that the Idaho child welfare proceedings are sealed so we don't even know if an application has been made for an order finding Lori in contempt for failing to produce the children per the prior order (I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that application is pending now). My best bet is that law enforcement has extensive surveillance in Hawaii so that there is no big rush to do anything yet. Multiple investigations are proceeding at both State and Federal levels so that it is probable the decision has been made that it is better to continue the investigation for at least awhile before arrest. Keep in mind that the moment of arrest invokes the constitutional right to due process and a speedy trial so many prosecutors and law enforcement agencies prefer taking their own sweet time before starting that clock running (see, e.g., Charlie Adelson). In this case, of course, the safety of the children weighs heavily against taking too much time and I'd be surprised if we don't see either an arrest or some public announcement regarding proceeding on the contempt/extradition to Idaho avenues.

I don't think this means much except maybe Tylee got a new burner phone. Hopefully they got Chad and Lori's current phones off them when they served the search warrants in Hawaii. They may have info from those phones that could lead them to the kids I hope.
