So reading the past couple of pages it seems everyone has convicted him already but I'm just curious - because I genuinely don't know, being I haven't been following closely - is there evidence against Jussie aside from the empire connection? TIA

In the late 1980s, the then-firebrand local political activist served as the spokesman for Tawana Brawley, a black 15-year-old who claimed she had been raped by six white men upstate. They scrawled racial epithets on her chest and smeared feces in her hair, she alleged.

The stunning case eventually went before a grand jury — which ruled after seven months that Brawley’s story was a total fabrication.

Lol. It is interesting to compare and contrast what people support and call out. Can Jussie be good people as well or is he not good people?

Can a racist heterophobe be a "good person"? Can a racist homophobe be a "good person"? Perhaps if they don't act upon their hate, but after they acted upon their hate?

Actually no as I'm waiting for official on-the-record actions and consider much of what is out there rumor and have talked about this further back. What there is is a lot of rumor evidence against JS, with the biggest rumor evidence being that the Nigerian brothers flipped and gave evidence showing JS perpetrated this and that they're now basically in a form of witness protection.

“Two unknown offenders approached him and gained his attention by yelling out racial and homophobic slurs towards him,” the statement continued. “The offenders began to batter the victim with their hands about the face and poured an unknown chemical substance on the victim. At some point during the incident, one of the offenders wrapped a rope around the victim’s neck. The offenders fled the scene.”

A man who was with Jussie Smollett after he was violently attacked in Chicago last week has spoken out.

Frank Gatson, reportedly Smollett’s choreographer and creative director in Chicago, told Extra he was with the Empire star the night of Jan. 28 and had picked him up from the airport upon his arrival from New York City.

“I was there with Jussie,” he said. “I’m the one who called 911, I am the one who took him to the hospital, and it was so scary man, that was a scary night, my stomach was numb.”

“I’m just glad I was the old man at his apartment when he got there,” he continued. “I was responsible. I said let’s call the cops, let’s go to the hospital, shout out to Chicago police, especially the sergeant that came and got things together and made us feel comfortable.”

So JS left this guy in his apartment to get food? Was JS shopping for food for both of them? Why didn't this guy get the food either before he even went to the airport or go instead of JS who just went through a cross-country flight and airport delay? Why was this guy still there instead of just dropping him off and going home? Nice to have a choreographer around...

I thought that too, but he is a young man who might not be at home much due to his profession and not have a lot of supplies on hand. However, I believe there are umpteen food delivery options nowadays so people don't have to to do much more than clicky-click on their phones to get just about anything sent to their homes, especially those with money. JMOO as usual...and you would THINK he would employ a bodyguard or two, but what do I know.

He didn't say he's a raving fan of Subway, but instead that it was his only choice for food. In fact according to him it was his second choice as he went to Walgreen's first.

Just seems odd that Frank picked him up and didn’t stop at subway on way to apartment. Evidently he wanted to walk there.
