A transcript is as follows:

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: You’ve said clearly you think the police are not telling the truth about Jussie. Are you going to sue?

TINA GLANDIAN: We’re weighing our options now. For Jussie, what’s important is he really just wants his career and his life back. Again, he did not ask for any of this. He was a victim of a crime. This has completely spiraled out of control and become a political event at this point, and his goal and focus right now is just getting his life back on track.

He’s not even started healing from the initial attack because he’s been dealing with everything what’s happened since then. I don’t know, I mean, we’re shocked at the mayor and the police superintendent doubling down yesterday when the prosecutor after a dispassion look at the evidence realized that it does not hold up and chose to voluntarily dismiss all counts and expunge his record. So at this point, we’re going to weigh our options and see how this develops.
Jussie Smollett Lawyer: ‘We’re Weighing Our Options’ on Suing Chicago Police

ETA: unbelievable....

Jussie Smollett bombshell pits Obama chiefs of staff against one another

On one side is Rahm Emanuel, the tough-as-nails outgoing Chicago mayor and former chief of staff to Barack Obama. On the other is Tina Tchen, a Chicago attorney and Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff.

While the latter's role is cloaked in mystery, Emanuel has been straight-to-the-cameras about what he thinks of the decision to drop the Smollett case. A day after he called that stunning move a "whitewash of justice," the mayor fumed during an appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America."

Emanuel is now considering suing the actor to recoup some of the money the city wasted on its investigation. The Chicago mayor says he wants to recoup close to $150,000 in funds that were spent on the Smollett case, after all charges against the “Empire” actor were dropped following 16 hours of community service and an agreement to forfeit his $10,000 bond.

He was a victim of a crime

So then he'll be pushing for the Osundario Bros to be charged, the file unsealed so they can be prosecuted etc.
If Jussie is a victim like he is claiming and he told the truth the whole way through, then this was a heinous hate crime and the brothers are exactly the type of violent criminals that the states attorney has just freed up time and resources to go after

That Tina Tchen urged Foxx, on behalf of Jussie or his family to get the case away from CPD and to the FBI can only mean that Tchen was confident that she could influence the FBI special agent in charge in Chicago. So, if there is any federal case to be brought, it needs to be handled by a different FBI office. And the FBI or DOJ should be talking to that SAC.

He won't be pushing for the O brothers to be charged because he knows he hired them and he's not a victim.

Even the states attorney knows he's not a victim and they've said as much. They just told him to run over to Jesse Jackson's place for a few hours and forfeit your bond (you, know, the bond that someone else paid for you) and your record is expunged.

So no charges for the brothers IMO because they cooperated with the investigation.

Shame, Shame, Shame!!!

We plan to air @leahhopeABC7 interview with @SAKimFoxx on the @ABC7Chicago news at 4pm and 6pm tonight.

Is it inappropriate for the State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, who recused herself, to now be talking to the press?

Is this likely to be just a softball PR interview? Anyone local who can comment?

There must be one, and not just about his laced white powder threat letter he concocted to himself.

They must come in now, and open up the whole can of the putrid worms rotting inside the prosecutor's office.

I am convinced these sealing of everything is to do about the possible criminal wrongdoings of others way up the food chain from JS.

This might windup being the biggest news story of the year.

Imo

Not so sure that would happen. Foxx wanted the FBI to take the case for a reason.

Ummm

I disagree with this.

I would like to see the proof of it

I think JS is stupid and arrogant enough to have come up with this ridiculous plot all on his own.

Well then, you have to ask yourself... why is he being protected? 16 felony charges indicted by a grand jury and then.... poof... gone. Jussie Smollett is a nobody. He doesn't have the connections or the finances to be protected in this way. JMO

Unless Tchen was representing JS or his family, it seems vastly inappropriate for her to be personallty contacting the State Attornety on this matter

In theory she should have no information to give because she was supposed to have been recused and having nothing to do with the case anymore.

Clearly there are people involved who do not think he is a nobody.

People in the entertainment industry do have power and influence, whether us common folk have any idea who these people are or not.

I’d never heard of this guy until this case broke.

He is a two bit actor who may or may not committed a hoax that normally is a misdemeanor ?

Others who have done a crime similar get community service,

I am totally mystifed why this has gotten pages and pages of outrage . And no, I do not buy that it hurts other real vistims as there are plenty of hoaxes out there that did not reeieve this kind of outrage
